About the XB8E
Quick Access Bulkheads
A key update to the platform is the improved front and rear differential bulkheads. These bulkheads feature quick access for ease of maintenance and repair. Completing the design is an updated "Labyrinth" layout. This design minimizes the dust inside the bulkheads while increasing strength and decreasing flex. The shock towers bolt directly to the bulkheads and allow for advanced tuning aid.
Improved Drivetrain
Moving to the robust drivetrain starts with how the bulkheads support the outdrives. The internals of the bulkheads allow for more level driveshaft angles that create a more friction free drivetrain. Using the eccentric outdrive bushings allows for fine tuning the angle of the driveshafts. This provides higher efficiencies, reduced wear, and a more responsive chassis.
Improved Chassis Layout
The chassis took some key revisions to ensure flex, durability, and performance. The front and rear of the chassis feature cutouts to allow for the semi-split bulkheads. The center bulkhead and motor mount allows for forward or rear motor positions. Extra milled front pockets into the chassis optimize flex characteristics. Each point on this chassis allows for extreme performance with a wide range of tuning options.

XRAY XB8E 2023 1/8 Electric 4WD Off Road Competition Buggy Kit
I have been building and racin 1/8 buggy's for over 35 years and have built and owned all brands.This is my first xray and I'm truly impressed. Starting with the instruction manual full color shiny pages and highly detailed. Starting with the diffs ,the steel gears ,machine work,and molded parts quality are second to none. Slovakia quality A+ . Parts bags are labeled and packaged perfectly and Not 1 missing part ...also came with extra screws and shims. The shock quality tops other brands for sure . Xray's aluminum chassis is a work of art and has more attention to detail with the most machine timeI have seen ... it's the small things that impress from the extra chamfered edges to the flex zones and deep countersinks, the anodized silver color looks amazing to finish it off!! Definitely wor every penny ," you get what you pay for" I cannot find one thing that isn't 100% ... Details that stand apart from the rest is the tuning options and hudy tools and setup support. Im excited to be a part of the team and the success that will follow !! Hell yes to team xray Xb8e 2023 , they knocked it out of the park!!

Hands down the best e buggy I have drove. LSM rear arms and clear lightweight bladders in the shocks. Fastest car on the track by over .6 sec. Amazing quality and drivable performance.

XRAY XB8E 2023 1/8 Electric 4WD Off Road Competition Buggy Kit
It's a nice kit, I ran into no issues during the build and the default setup was fairly close (needed way more spring preload, bumpy track). Everything runs smooth right out of the box, and materials/fit/finish seem top notch. Minus 1 star for "luxury" branding and no pre cut body. The both of the Mugen MBE8 kits my dad has built had them, as did my Vanquish crawler kit.
