The XRAY XB2D 2021 Carpet Edition 1/10 2WD Off-Road Buggy Kit was developed to be a professional, high competition R/C car for the most demanding racers, developed with attention to the smallest details. Both Dirt and Carpet edition of the XB2 are both designed specifically for the different track conditions and extensively tested in all the different tracks to ensure maximum performance. The XB2D was designed in virtual reality using the world's most sophisticated CAD tools, and manufactured using high-tech machining and molding machinery, the XB2 achieves a level of attention to detail that is second to none.

  • Improved steering system geometry makes the car more predictable, easier to drive and faster in high speed corners
  • Updated steering parts include steering arms, Ackermann plate, servo link, and an offset servo horn.
  • Now includes 3-slot graphite steering block extension for improved steering in slower corners and more corner speed in high speed sections (Carpet edition only).
  • Front and rear shock towers with denser upper shock mounting positions for ultrafine set-up adjustments
  • Longer front shock shafts and shock bodies to maintain proper down travel with the shock tower. The configuration is now unified for both Carpet and Dirt editions for all track conditions.
  • Updated front roll center holder with a wider mounting position to reduce diving effect in high speed corners and integrated anti-roll bar mount
  • Redesigned Gamma 2C body and Tec wing in the XB2C’21 for improved rotation in corners and better stability at high speeds
  • Improved Gamma 2D body and Rank wing in the XB2D’21 for maximized overall grip and rear stability
  • Includes stiffer IFMAR legal wheels for all track surfaces and temperatures.

Xray XB2C 2021 Carpet Edition 1/10 2WD Off-Road Buggy Kit
This is my second XRAY kit (the 1st was a T4 2019). XRAY designs, and manufacturers, the most incredible kits. Yes, they cost considerably more than most other brands...but, you truly do get what you pay for. Beyond the kit being the best I've built, the manual is also the best. Prior to building the XB2C, I still thought TLR build manuals were the best. They are still excellent...but, the XRAY manuals are better. If you're looking for carpet kits, look no further than XRAY. While AE prefers to be a "jack of all trades", and TLR truly knows dirty/clay, when it comes to astro/carpet, XRAY not only does it right...they (probably) do it the best.

Lastly,. regarding the "review" left by mike alves, truth-be-told, it does NOT 'need' "another $150 or so to make it reasonable". If you look at the setup sheets done by several other racers, you'll discover that they are 'placing', and winning, with VERY FEW "upgrades". Yes, it is HIGHLY advisable to get the front/rear anti-roll bar sets, and I'd also recommend getting the steel diff gears (of which you only 'need' to use 2, saving the other 2 for your first rebuild), steel diff pins, and the aluminum shock spring retaining collars ('std' for the front, -2 for the rear)...but, other than those few parts, additional upgrade parts are not 'needed'. Finally, as for parts availability, the ONLY reason it's extremely difficult to obtain parts right now is due to a little something called COVID-19. A lack of parts availability, as well as other RC-related items (such as shock oils & diff fluids), is similar, if not the same, for many brands. Using the fluid matter as an example, even my LHS is having extreme difficulty obtaining any RC fluids right now.

Xray XB2C 2021 Carpet Edition 1/10 2WD Off-Road Buggy Kit
Carpet? It needs about another 100 bucks of more stuff just to make it steer. A whole bunch of plastic parts and no upgrades. No sway bars and comes in about 80 grams short of the 1500 grams for racing. Just be prepared to add another 150 dollars or so to make it reasonable. And good luck finding the parts you need to make it right. Rear dog dogbone bent after first run. Don't exactly know how. I will be selling mine soon and sticking with my b6.2. Night and day.
