Xpert B3210 Electronic Switch

At the time of writing this, AMain does not have the dimensions of the switch listed, nor do they have any mention of the battery behavior, but I believe this hasn't been out long so it's understandable.

The switch is 29.1 x 18.1 x 12.5 mm, and actually that 29.1 mm doesn't include the wiring coming out. Including the wiring (folded flat against the switch), the effective length is about 35.2 mm. Be careful trying to squish it into place as the wiring insulation will tear off easily right where the wires meet the plastic.

I purchased this for my Losi 8ight RTR, which is equipped with the "gen III radio tray", and it does not fit. The screws line up, but the box of the switch is too big. Tried making more space in the tray with a Dremel and a routing bit, but for it to fit there will be a large clearance hole. I wouldn't mind this too terribly bad, but then I read in the included instructions that the switch draws a small amount of power from the battery when turned off, and can ruin lipo packs if left plugged in for long enough to zero out the battery. How long that would take, I don't know, but I've been known to have unplanned multi-month gaps between playing with RC cars so this wouldn't be good for my equipment. Perhaps it's common knowledge that all button-style receiver switches draw power even when turned off, and I had heard about some button-style switches being like that, however I was hoping this one wasn't that way given that there was no mention of the battery draw in the description. Unfortunately I won't be using this switch and will instead keep using the stock mechanical switch. Hope this helps.

I like this switch a lot. It is very wide so space is a little tight in my 8ight X receiver tray. I found you can take a part the case and with a xacto blade, you can trim the back of the case to allow the wires to come out the back instead of the sides. Fits like a glove. No need to worry about the switch accidentally being switched off because you have to hold the button down for a few seconds for it to shut off. Comes with with gasket and hardware to mount easily to your model. If your model doesn't have a switch location you can just as easily use double sided tape.

Got mine today. Fits nicely in the factory spot on the Mugen MBX8. As I suspected, the instructions say it will eventually drain your receiver battery. I only race 1 or 2 times a month, so I will check it a couple times a week to see how long it takes to go red (6.7v) on me. My guess is it will take a couple of months of no use to completely drain the battery.

Exactly as described and fast shipping as always!Great product!Installed on my Nitro RS4 2, looks and performs perfectly but I do recommend using a recharge LiFe pack battery with it as your standard single use batteries tend to trip the low voltage pretty quick.Otherwise it does exactly what it says it does.

Best electronic power switch I have ever used!! I Especially love that it is the same size and shape and is a direct fit replacement for my stock mechanical switches!

switch has a longer case than the original one it was to replace. this is a disappointment. I will need to shave off the chassis guard it touches, or it will have my electronics bay twisted (tightened down against an unneeded force) while racing.
It does work as advertised.

Measure twice, before buying once.
Don't leave your battery connected to it in storage, of course.
I might still use it, but I'm thinking of creating my own 2mm quick connect bullet switch of my own....
