The Werks Team Line B5-Pro II is a revised version of the renowned B5 Pro. Werks engineers went back to the drawing board, and made the B5 Pro even better! The B5-Pro II produces aggressive stump pulling bottom end power, with strong mid and top end that makes it a great truggy engine. Additionally, the B5 Pro II is well suited for buggy applications when you want aggressive power and insane bottom end.

Engine includes a Werks TLP5BT #5 Turbo Glow Plug. The glow plugs recommended for this engine are the Werks Racing TLP5BT #5 and TLP6BT #6. Pipe recommendation is Werks Racing 2013 (WRX6658C) for Truggy use and Werks Racing 2058 (WRX6659C) for Buggy use.

B5-Pro II features:

  • Revised port timing for improved performance.
  • “Swiss” ceramic rear bearing for improved reliability and reduced friction.
  • Double shielded front bearing for improved reliability.
  • Lightened and epoxy ramped crankshaft allows the engine to spool up faster for improved acceleration and improved fuel economy.
  • Black anodized crankcase for improved heat dissipation.
  • Billet rear back plate to reduce weight and create a more rigid case assembly.
  • Improved carburetor heat shield to improve carburetor consistency and reduce possibility of heat saturation.
  • Revised carburetor design for easier tuning and improved stability.
  • Modified crankcase and new super low CG wrap around head design for improved heat dissipation and reduces overall CG of vehicle for improved handling.
  • O-ring sealed head button for improved sealing and reduces the likely hood of dirt entering engine during routine maintenance.

Werks Team Line B5-Pro II .21 Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine
Let me say, this engine proves that you don't need a $500 O.s. to race. Breakin was very easy (recommend pre-heating to reduce pinch and wear). I used Ron Hopkins' method (you can search the comments here or RC Tech). After that, just set the idle screw air gap around 1mm, set the bottom end needle for a smooth and steady idle, and then adjust the top. Easy to tune! Mine has the horizontal high end needle which is less exposed to getting hit in a crash.

Tons of bottom end, never worried about the big triples. Screams on the straights, and I am just through my first gallon but so pleased with the powerband, feel, and mileage will keep improving. I recommend grabbing a 6.0mm restrictor and I use the 2058 pipe.

Werks Team Line B5-Pro II .21 Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine
Great engine fired right up, was super easy to break in and holds a tune really well. Cant say much for long term because ive only ran about a gallon through it so far but for the price this engine is really good and fast im running it in a mbx8t and it pulls that truck around really good.

Werks Team Line B5-Pro II .21 Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine
I got this engine for christmas and had now just had the weather to run this.First off this engine was so nice and easy to break in,just heat it up and let her rip on the box.#2,right of the bat i knew this engine was strong, bottom was strong from the break in toon. 10 tans in this now and leaning it up and it sounds wicked.Running in a serpent cobra evo with dynamite pipe, VP 25% nitro.
had lots of engines from O.S.RB concepts NOVA and some others and this engine is right up there for half the price.Time will tell on the longevity of this engine bit for now i'm thinking it's a ripper.
