The VS Racing B01-DLC Limited Edition Competition Off-Road Buggy Engine is based on the VSB01, but features an additional DLC coating on the crankshaft to reduce friction and increase crank pin life. Plus, the engine gets some additional "Rody" development in the process. Production is limited to 50 pieces total - when they are gone, they are gone forever!
The standard VSB01 2101B Competition Off-Road Buggy Engine is a super long stroke .21 off-road engine based on the powerful O.S. Speed 21XZ-B Spec II. By combining the experience, precision and technology of world famous OS Max engines, with additional tweaks and changes from the mind of legendary Rody Roem, the 2101B delivers a balance between high performance, reliability and cost.
The biggest changes can be found in the crankshaft and the combustion chamber. The 14mm turbo crankshaft and turbo head button have been "Rody Modified". This includes balancing, porting, lightening and silicone ramping the crankshaft intake. The VS Racing 2101B is best suited for high competition 1/8 scale off-road racing and is recommended for "EXPERIENCED" users.

VS Racing B01-DLC Limited Edition Competition Off-Road Buggy Engine
OS Spec II-based engine, which means it is a screamer and a stump puller. Rosy Roem deigned the specs for this version, and for those who may not know, Rody has designed and produced some of the most successful 1/8-scale buggy engines in history. I'm running 7mm insert, 30% nitro, OS P3 gold plug, 2090 pipe. Tons of low and midrange. Great for truggy, or buggy if you have throttle control. I wish the crankshaft was fully DLC coated for durability; only the crank pin is coated. Beautiful engine, it gets comments everywhere I take it. Try an AMR backplate for total ease of tuning and idling.
