The Traxxas Traxx Deep-Terrain Track Set provides the most significant upgrade to traction for the Traxxas TRX-4 Kit. These treaded tracks are a perfect addition to the TRX-4 and all it's trail-ready features, allowing the kit to be practically unstoppable on any terrain.
The Traxx allows the car to straddle larger objects on the trail by raising the portal axle over 16mm for increased ground clearance. Each Traxx has large contact patches and grippy treads to shrug off mud and float across deep sand. An adjustable tension wheel keeps the treads tight while suspended road wheels allow the tread to conform to surface irregularities for maximum traction. Traxx functions similar to portal weights, carrying the bulk of the weight down low for improved stability. Each Traxx drive unit is engineered for rugged, yet smooth performance, with oil-filled dampers on each drive unit to control rotational movements and to help keep the tread glued to the surface. Pro Tips:
- Use a High-Torque 400oz-in servo and a High-Output BEC for maximum turning power in all conditions.
- Slight body trimming may be required. Use TRX-4 Long-Arm Lift Kit to minimize trimming and increase ground clearance.
- On TRX-4 models equipped with T-Locks, keep the front and rear differentials locked for optimal traction and performance.
- On TRX-4 models equipped with two-speed transmissions, always use low gear.

Cool if you have extra money and are a collector. There are lots of better things to upgrade your crawler. Also, not very clear on this in most things you look at. You can only use in low gear. You can only use with a 2-cell lipo or you risk frying stuff. Does not fit well if you do not have your trx4 Lifted. So all in and all, this is very expensive item to use. Really only cool in snow or sand.

Very nice setup. Looks super and works well! I mounted in 15eee min. on my Trx-4 kit with Bronco body. Up date, when Assembling kit I installed MIP offset 4mm wide track kit .W/a lot of $other upgrades One being Pro-Line spec scaler shocks ,used 95mm shock ends.Upgrade a must w/400oz or more!for servo.Didn't have to trim anything! I have 14 RC's +2 RC boats and about 10 old RC's I wish I NEVER NEVER!!!! Got rid of. Still have my old-school Monster-Beetle!***!! I still race off-road RC's ----- B4 and T4 By the way I'm Crawlin' on 71 yrs. Old LOVING IT!

As usual you guy's rock. I have used the deep terrain traxx and let them acclimate to the cold . Then sprayed them with WD-40. They shed the snow and didn't freeze up. They are on my trx4 with a 13t spur 45 pinion. 3s 1080 hobby wing. All is awesome.

It’s a good looking and fitting on the trx4, I have a sensored brushless, and a brushless servo. The standard threads are not really good for deep snow, and the rollers tends to get stuck with snow. I will get the deep threads soon, we get lots of snow here but not always perfects conditions
