This is the Traxxas T-Maxx Classic Ready-to-Run Monster Truck. T-Maxx sets the bar for monster truck performance and fun. There are a mountain of imitators, but the T-Maxx claws its way to the top with unmatched performance, durability and fun. No other truck has received more awards and accolades. T-Maxx is the  best-selling monster truck on the planet.

CHARGER NOTE: The included charger requires a cigarette lighter socket found in full size vehicles to charge. If this is not your preference, Traxxas offers an adapter allowing you to charge from a standard home AC electrical socket (TRA2976).

Now, T-Maxx looks better than ever with a muscular body, aggressive graphics, and low-profile 3.2" Maxx Chevron tires mounted on mirror-chrome 5-Spoke wheels. The low-profile tire design delivers agile handling and nonstop forward bite for maximum performance in any terrain. Strength-optimized bulkheads, differential housings, and body mounts define T-Maxx's reputation for go-anywhere ruggedness and reliability. Thoughtful integration of gray molded parts (battery box, skidplates, shock bodies, and chassis braces) give T-Maxx a fresh look, showing off the fine details engineered into the components. All components are 100% compatible with all current and previous T-Maxx models.

Precision 2.4GHz Control Radio System
With the TQ™ 2.4GHz radio system, you just switch on and drive. There are no channels or frequencies to manage, so the focus is on having fun. The TQ's ergonomic design is comfortable for all-day driving, and its sleek lines are enhanced by an internal antenna that is impervious to damage. To customize the controls, the transmitter's factory servo directions can be easily reversed through the simple programming system.

Traxxas Total Support

T-Maxx includes full Traxxas support. Experienced pros are with you every step of the way to answer questions and help you get the most performance from your model. Traxxas T-Maxx Classic RTR Monster Truck (White)
Awesome truck!

Right out of the box the wow factor is insane! The contents in the box were packaged great, all contents were accounted for, extra air filter with oil, extra glow plug, tools are all great and it’s traxxas so you know it’s going to be backed by great customer service as well as parts are readily available at your local hobby shop (LHS).

I’ve always wanted one as a kid, for me to choose the T-MAXX classic was a no brainer. I like the 2.5 engine, I have the first generation 2.5 Nitro 4-Tec, and that motor is going strong to this day! Clean and change your air filter after every run, let your engine cool and always perform after care maintenance! One day I’ll buy the T-MAXX 3.3 for my rc collection. Also I have the first gen electric 4-tec, going strong to this day.

I also bought a few goodies for the truck, I highly recommend the traxxas 5cell hump pack, wire harness and charging adapter so I don’t have to use AA batteries and having to remove the battery box to constantly replace them. I like the idea of only having to remove the dust cover to plug into the battery adapter and charge it. The little easy things like that are great and save you money buying batteries in the long run. Also got the RPM front/rear bumpers on the way. The stock bumpers will do it’s job, but they’re too pretty for me to scratch lol.

I read a lot about having reverse, but I like it! I’m not a basher nor going to race it. I take really great care of all my vehicles, but if that time does come where I have issues with it, then I’ll get the traxxas forward only kit. That’s why I love this hobby, remove and replacing parts and rebuilding is the best part!

Great brand name, traxxas have been around for a very long time, this truck will not disappoint. Happy to have made the purchase for many fun years to come driving this BEAST!!!

Traxxas T-Maxx Classic RTR Monster Truck (White)
The T-Maxx Classic is awesome. My first Nitro was the Nitro Slash. So, this is my second Nitro. I love it. It's a little harder to work on. But it is worth it. I will be putting the 3.3 engine in when I blow the 2.5. I will use the Traxxas trade-in program & I will pay for the upgrade to the 3.3. I only have about a half gallon through mine. I bought the blue anodized Transmission plate to protect the Transmission. I also bought a wheelie bar, a new power switch, so I can use the Traxxas 5-Cell Hump battery pack. It could really use a way better steering servo. It doesn't have enough to turn the wheels standing still. Crazy!! The good thing about Traxxas is the product support & the fact that Traxxas parts are fairly cheap and readily available. My next Nitro from Traxxas would be the Nitro Jato 3.3. Instead of getting a Nitro Slayer Pro, get this instead. More ground clearance, and it's like a big truck anyway. I bought the (Blue Traxxas T-Maxx Classic in 2020). Also, I have heard things about the Reverse & I have had zero issues. It works great. I just make sure I have my finger on the brake, and it Shifts into reverse every time. You also have 2-Speed in reverse as well. Oh ya! I bought the Traxxas Duel Chamber Pipe for (Mid-High Speed) Chrome Exhaust & it looks great. I'm sorry, but the Plastic Exhaust Pipe looks hideous because of the molding & how Traxxas left it Molded. The Nitro Slash Plastic Stock Exhaust Pipe doesn't look as bad. But I also bought the Traxxas Duel Chamber Exhaust for it as well. I also don't care for the Air-Filter. I will be switching that out to the High-Volome Air Filter soon.

Traxxas T-Maxx Classic RTR Monster Truck (White)
My Tmaxx out of box pretty much fired right off no problems
About the third tank of fuel it wouldn’t start?????
So I started tracing down the problem! I found out right away that
there wasn’t a spark! I haven’t dug further but there’s no charge in the blue spark plug wire?????
