Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL Brushless RTR Monster Truck w/TQi 2.4Ghz, Battery & Wal
I love this truck 4wd brushless 2.4ghz traxxas link. The only problem that i had is with the back drive shafts they break but i guess you'll have that with a 3500kv brushless motor just put cvd's and your gold great truck highly recomended if you want to see mine go to youtube.com/ and in the search bar type gtgills and go to my channel and you will find it.

Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL Brushless RTR Monster Truck w/TQi 2.4Ghz, Battery & Wal
Great truck. Prior to this, I had my 2WD Stampede XL-5, which I upgraded with the Velineon system. That one is faster (top speed) than this one, so if you're just after top speed on smoother surfaces, save yourself some money and get the 2WD VXL. (or better yet, a Rustler VXL)

But on any kind of rough terrain, this one is far superior. It has proper turnbuckle steering, and has a notably tighter turning radius. Naturally, it has better traction on grass and loose surfaces.

One weakness is that Traxxas left the front of the front/rear driveshaft tunnel open in the front, underneath. So sand and water get up in there, and it's not easy to get it out. Some have also mentioned that the body sits too high, and I agree, but this is not a deal-breaker. On the stock 7c NiMH battery pack, it is pretty quick, and has a decent run time. About 13 minutes of mixed running on short grass.

This is maybe the best 1/10 scale basher I've ever driven. It is spendy, but worth it.

I put a set of Pro-Line Sand Paws on it for snow running. They're loads better than stock, but it still digs itself in, in snow deeper than 2".

The body is thin and weak. When you tear yours up, replace it with a properly thick aftermarket one by Pro-Line or something. I've got a 50s truck body that looks pretty sweet on it.

The TQi radio is fantastic. Fully programmable, but just without a display. You have to have a guide to look at while you work through it. The iPad/iPhone attachment for it is not that useful, as Traxxas is not keeping the app up to date for use with the latest iDevices. So the only way to get your money's worth out of it is to buy an old iPod just for that purpose, with an old OS.

The wall wart charger takes 8 hours to charge the included battery pack, so plan on buying a couple extra packs and a decent fast charger.

Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL Brushless RTR Monster Truck w/TQi 2.4Ghz, Battery & Wal
I've owned this truck for about a year now and I love it. I have MIP driveshafts, RPM a-arms, 4s lipo power, a MMM esc with a 2400kv castle 550 motor and it is insane. It handles amazing and i wouldn't trade it for anything.

Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL Brushless RTR Monster Truck w/TQi 2.4Ghz, Battery & Wal
I agree with everyone about the 3S/broken axles problem. It's a great kit otherwise. It just looks so cool! I have a raptor body kit and proline desperado wheels with trencher tires. I run a tacon 3660 400kv motor with a mamba max pro and it's plenty fast with 2S lipo. I ran it once with 3s and it was very apparent that the rear axles were going to give up the ghost with further running.
I'm not a fan of the traxxas springs but the shocks are good. I use losi springs.

Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL Brushless RTR Monster Truck w/TQi 2.4Ghz, Battery & Wal
This is by-far my fav. basher truck crasy fast on 2s lipo wheelies like mad .I dont care how bad of a day you,ve had 5 mins with this thing and your all smiles .
When you order the truck order the cvd kits both front and rear and the kingshead motor mount and maybe a tire upgrade cause the stock tires suck for traction and you wont be disapointed this thing is a blast i love it as much as my mugen mbx6 eco
get off the fence and just buy it you know ya wanta

Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL Brushless RTR Monster Truck w/TQi 2.4Ghz, Battery & Wal
Iv owned this truck since march when it first came out and iv had a lot of problems with the drive shafts. Traxxas knows better than to throw these crappy plastic shafts on when everyone else (other companies) who make brushed cars use metal dog bones. If Traxxas would just start using metal shafts or dog bones out of the box then this product would have gotten a 5 star from me.

Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL Brushless RTR Monster Truck w/TQi 2.4Ghz, Battery & Wal
This is a serious built truck. It can take the abuse and then some. The wheely bar is not really needed because of the extra weight up front so I installed the RPM Slash 4x4 rear bumper instead and it makes the truck look a lot more scale. Keep the clutch turned back to slip a bit more and you can really gain traction and add tire life. It does great in the grass and with the stock gears the motor stayed around 170 ish through the battery charge. Compared to a 2wd Stampede this will handle 10x better in near every situation. When you jump, it is way more controlable then the 2wd version. Last thing... I run it on our local Short Course track and it handles very well. I'm going to tune the suspension for that track and see what she will do just for the fun of it. Best of all I'm going to order another one.

Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL Brushless RTR Monster Truck w/TQi 2.4Ghz, Battery & Wal
Great truck, although MIP cvd's are a must for the rear if you want to run 3s. Other than that its pretty tough. Mine has endured some ridiculous abuse and exposure to water with nothing breaking other than the previously mentioned rear driveshafts. Worth the money to be sure. Very predictable and fun on the track and is also a great backyard basher. Only 4 stars because Traxxas advertises that you can run 3s batteries in it out of the box when you CLEARLY cannot.

Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL Brushless RTR Monster Truck w/TQi 2.4Ghz, Battery & Wal
my new favorite truck!!!! i love this truck so much!! its very fast out of the box, wonderful performance and its bulletproof. i drove it off of of a 12ft rock into dirt/gravel and its still rippin it up. about 15 minute runtime and very fast, crazy torque, im getting a 3s 11.1 5000 20c lipo for it, i cant wait till longer runtimes and faster with MORE torque, no driveshaft problems yet, i took the rear end off the other day to clean it after running it under water in the creek, 4 screws, it was awesome, very fun truck, my favorite out of my jato 3.3 and mini revo vxl, and yes im 13 :)

Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL Brushless RTR Monster Truck w/TQi 2.4Ghz, Battery & Wal
This is my new favorite basher truck! I agree with the last review though, about the rear shaft. I snapped one side and have now upgraded to the MIP 11104 CVDs. I'd also suggest replacing/upgrading the front and rear A arms with tougher types like those made by RPM (I snapped the originals by being silly and running into wall, not recommended).
I'd highly recommend this truck if your looking for a fun and powerful basher right out of the box.
