Traxxas Slash VXL Brushless 1/10 RTR 2WD Short-Course Truck (w/TQi 2.4GHz, Batte
Traxxas is truly the king of "RTR!" I'm somewhat new to RC and decided to go with the Traxxas Slash VXL 2WD ready to race short-course truck kit. I was looking for a highly durable short course truck with a brushless motor already installed that I could take right out of the box and bash it on the first day I got it with out having to buy anything extra. This RTR kit lived up to everything I wanted. It comes all you need to have fun: a 2.4ghz radio, brushless motor, battery and an overnight charger. It's very quick, incredibly durable, and the components are water-proof...Out of the box, ready to run! It's great for back yard bash sessions and is just plain fun! And that's what RC is all about! Although I'm not really interested in racing this particular truck, I'll bet with a few upgrades (Lipo battery, RPM parts) this truck would be very competitive on the track. I highly, highly recommend this kit to absolutely anyone! From the beginner who's just getting into RC or short-course, to the pro-racer who just wants something to have some fun with in the back yard or on the track!

i got this truck for Christmas last year and i thought it was a good truck and it is but it is too heavy for going over the jumps at my house. it has no traction i slide all over the place. the tranny is a pain to get to and the drive lines start to wear out THEN YOU PUT A LITTLE PIECE OF TOOTHPICK IN THE PLACE WERE IT IS WEARING OUT AND A LITTLE BIT OF GLUE AND THAT FIXED MY PROBLEM.

this car is not is good for carpet racing, it cant catch the sc10, or losi xxx-sct. the chassis is way too high to handle the sharp turns. i would recommend getting this car for a dirt track or bashing. i would say that this is a lot more durable than a sc10 or xxx-sct.
