WOW! Seriously this thing is great on 2S, insane on 3s. I know a lot of people complain that this isn't the best shortcourse truck, sure if you are a full-time racer at your track there are better options. But after adding the LCG chassis and some better tires from proline it sticks like glue. But the best part, I can hand the controller to my 6yr old and let her bash away stress free. Damn near bulletproof.
Well this fox edition was purchased for my older brother as a Christmas gift. So it’s not opened yet. I purchased the Hawaiian vxl 2wd and it still my favorite rc to drive. The only difference I’ve noticed between fox and Hawaiian is the rim color, body, and tread patten, I can’t remember the name of the tires but I loved both! The bfg Goodrich ones definitely gave me a more scale look.
I remember when I first put a 35c 2s in mine and it was nothing but smiles. So after like 5 charges ran through I felt I was man enough for 3s, and of course I started off with a full trigger squeeze... it was epic the tsm kept it straight and it blew the tires off for about 10-15’ then front tires lifted up back number scrapped it came down about halfway then literally flipped on its lid and slide down my street for about 30-40’!! I felt nothing but excitement! So I ran to it and did it probably 4-5 more times. Slash vxl 2wd is and amazingly fun and extremely durable rc! From beginner to basher to racer it works! I could keep going but I think after reading this you’ll understand how I feel about slash vxl 2wd.
