Traxxas Slash Dakar Edition 1/10 Scale RTR Electric 2WD Short Course Truck (w/Ba
So I purchased this truck back in mid January (2013) to get back in the hobby after about a 6 - 8 year break. I must say, I'm very glad my buddy talked me into a SCT and that I picked this one. This thing has been rock solid since day one. It's seen alot, ALOT of bashing, cartwheels, head on hits with curbs, trees, stationary objects, been flipped, rolled, kicked, tossed and just plan beat on. This thing takes it and keeps going. Recently I've been out at two local tracks and I am no seasoned vet, this truck has held up great. I've cased jumps, nose dived into jump faces, cartwheeld, been mixed up in wrecks, slammed into steel beams and it just keeps going. Sure I have a few srews loose that have to be tightened often, but after the beating I've given this thing, thats nothing. I have noticed as someone else mentioned, check your wheel nuts, I've had a rear wheel fall off a few times due to the nut backing off. I must also add that a week in, I bought the Sidewinder SCT motor/esc combo and 95% of my bashing and 100% of my track time has been with this set up. I would suggest this truck to anyone in the market for an SCT. Just rememebr it is a 2WD and can be a hand full on the track. Also the stock shock setup out of the box is...BLAAHHHHHH. Play with with diffrent spings, oil wieght and spacers to achieve what works best for you. Also may want to add a few tire weights (yes car tire weights) to the front if you plan on hitting the track. This sucker likes to fly nose up and since it's 2WD, once that nose is up, its hard to get it down.

Never had an issue w/ my slash over than the rear wheels rubbing against the stock body. Bashed the hell out of this truck on the track and it always stays in one piece. Just wished mod slash classes would become more common.....

The truck was great we race them on frozen lakes upstate NY on weekends and they are fast. Only problem I have had was I lost a tire on a snow bank which was my fault for not checking that they where tighte before starting the run. Great truck great price.

Simply the BEST company I have ever dealt with!!! Replaced my speed control very promptly and at NO CHARGE. TRAXXAS CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SECOND TO NONE!!!! To be brutally honest, I probably screwed up that speed control. I have been thrashing and running very tall gearing at the race track and TRAXXAS still stepped up and replaced it for me. Our family has FOUR Slashes and we love them/ Stock to Modified. Dollar for Dollar the best RTR on the market!!! This is the only issue I have ever had with any of our trucks!!! HAPPY HAPPY SLASH LOVER!!!!
