Traxxas Rustler 1/10 RTR 2WD Electric Stadium Truck (Orange)
I purchased this truck to replace a Duratrax Evader that I was having trouble finding parts for.
I chose the Rustler because it shares parts with other Traxxas vehicles and is well supported by the after market.
After driving it a couple of times around my back yard RC track I can see why it popular.
I swapped the tires for Traxxas Slash short course tires, added aluminum shock caps and made adjustments to the suspension and it is really a lot of fun to drive.
It has a nice low center of gravity, good steering, a good balance of suspension to power and traction. That is I can use a combination of steering and throttle to push or power slide it through turns while the suspension soaks up the bumps.
Over and under steer is easily managed by increasing or decreasing throttle while turning.
In other words I really like the Rustler it is fun to drive right out of the box and has a lot of potential for future mods and upgrades.

Traxxas Rustler 1/10 RTR 2WD Electric Stadium Truck (Orange)
The Rustler is one of the most solid choices that can be made currently for a 2wd RTR Stadium Truck. The truck is a blast to operate and drive and is very easy to wrench on and make adjustments or install option or upgrade parts. There are only a couple minor bones one could have to pick with Traxxas regarding the Rustler - Not including rubber-sealed bearings/general bearings on all axles like they do with the Slash is one. Another is the e-clips on the hinge pin rods of the front hubs as opposed to hex capture screws that you can easily thread-lock down like you find on an HPI Firestorm, or any of the Associated T4-T5 designs....HOWEVER, those minor bones pale in comparison when weighed against the overwhelming parts support and universal ease of availability of parts and support for The Rustler along with it's fun factor. Then there is the subject of Amain Hobbies. Amain is literally and easily in the top three if not #1 among online hobby providers - period. This claim can be made by examining Amain's presentation, selection, communication, order process, speed and follow-through/follow-up - I have been doing this for a long time and I have studied and used a variety of domestic to US and foreign online hobby retailers and its all of that and a hefty list of order numbers that qualifies me to make the statement that I've made. Thank you Amain - please don't stop doing what you're doing.

Traxxas Rustler 1/10 RTR 2WD Electric Stadium Truck (Orange)
Awesome little truck. Would be very fun for a beginner, even after owning many rc cars that are way faster and stronger this thing still puts a huge smile on my face. Im gonna take a star off because it’s all phillips screws instead of hex and also kind of outdated. Any of the arrma boost trucks would probably be a better option for beginners, they are very upgradable too!
