This is no more durable then the plastic one. Go with the scrc one.

Traxxas Hardened Steel Front Drive Hub
Pretty terrible if I do say so myself. I have a 4X4 Ultimate so this part came pre-installed. I've broken two already; not good for medium bashing or high-power road runs. Hopefully the STRC drive hub can withstand the power of my 9-cell NiMH because this certainly can't.

Much more durable than the stock plastic piece. Definitely recommend for anyone running more power than the stock system.
