These turnbuckles come in a brilliant, fire-red anodized finish and include a 5mm aluminum wrench that prevents marring the finish. Traxxas aluminum turnbuckles save almost 19 grams over the stock steel turnbuckles and are 35% lighter than titanium. Traxxas manufactures these turnbuckles from high-grade 7075-T6 aluminum to provide ample bending stiffness.

Traxxas Aluminum Turnbuckles (Red) (Jato)
My Jato flipped and rolled and two of the turnbuckles snapped in half. A little further inspection, you can see bubbling inside of the turn buckle metal. It's obviously a Traxxas manufacturing issue.
