Traxxas 1/16 Summit VXL 4WD Brushless RTR Monster Truck (w/TQi 2.4GHz Radio, Battery & Charger)
This little Summit is tons of fun! I did not know much about RC until I got this little truck. This thing goes anywhere! They are easy to work on and have a ton of upgrades (which you will surely need to get to beef it up from the weaker stock parts) Very, very happy with my purchase.

Traxxas 1/16 Summit VXL 4WD Brushless RTR Monster Truck (w/TQi 2.4GHz Radio, Battery & Charger)
Wow, amazed at the illiteracy of the reviewers here. I wouldn't trust their "intelligent" opinions any further than I could throw their RC cars. I LOVE this truck. I have about 20 R/C cars and trucks - 5 of which are from Traxxas. I have built half of them from kits, and the other half were RTR. Although Traxxas is mass producing vehicles, they know what they are doing. The engineering is awesome, making them easy to work on and fix. I completely disagree that they are poorly made. I run all my cars and trucks hard - through jumps, crashes, burnouts, water, and mud. They hold up amazingly well and I've never had one fail from normal use and abuse. Parts are the easiest to come by at our local hobby store, making weekend quick fixes a snap. This Summit VXL is a blast to drive! It jumps smooth and flat, soaks up bumps, and is just plain fun. I have a full-sized Summit as well, but this 1/16 version is easier to just take out and play anywhere. ANY R/C truck will break eventually if you run it like it's supposed to be run. Fixing them is part of the fun. I always seem to come back to my Traxxas vehicles though for pure fun and reliability. When you consider the waterproof electronics, availability of parts, intelligent engineering, durability, and brushless power - it's hard to beat.
