Tonys Screws Kyosho Lazer ZX-5 Screw Kit
Hi Egon,

This is Tony from Tony's Screws. All of our screws are Grade 12.9 black oxide alloy steel. They have a tensile strength of over 180,000 psi. They are the strongest screws you can buy for our R/C applications. Unfortunately alloy steel is not rust proof. Titanium and stainless steel hardware offer rust resistance but they are much weaker and prone to breaking, bending or stripping out. Titanium has a reasonable tensile strength (not as high as Grade 12.9 alloy steel) and are lighter in weight but also cost 10-20x as much so its a trade off. Stainless on the other hand has a very poor tensile strength compared to Grade 12.9 alloy steel. So unless you are running in very wet conditions, or using them in water applications where strength is not of a primary concern, stainless is not as strong.

I checked my email back when you submitted this review and I was not contacted by you in regards to this issue. If anyone else reads this review and has any issues with our products, please contact us via phone or email. We appreciate your business and strive for 100% customer satisfaction!

Best regards,

Tonys Screws Kyosho Lazer ZX-5 Screw Kit
These looked fine when new, then after some time.... NOT!
The screws in the interior all got some rust which isn't good for the drivers.
The ones on the suspension and chassis underside got so ruined with rust, that I had to use my dremel to cut a fine channel and use a flat screwdriver in allmost all of them.
Wasted money... stay away from these!
RCScrews offers a better screw kit.
