Tekno RC EB410.2 1/10 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit
This is my 4th Tekno kit, my first 1/10th scale buggy since the original B44, and even though ive only had it a few days so far I can already tell that its going to be just like the ET48.3, SCT410.3 and EB48.4 kits that I picked up over the course of only 2 weeks last September all because I got the ET first and after just the first day of running I was a huge Tekno fan. It will take me a while to get used to turning laps with a small 1/10th again after only running 1/8 buggy, truggy and 4wd SCT for about the last 12 years, but just by building the kit Im already super impressed.

I just love how all the Tekno kits combine the ability to be the fastest rig on the track, and also be able to withstand some major bashing and not break after the first awkward landing. They are by far the only company out there that makes kits so good at doing both so well. My only complaint with this kit is that its $400.00 and doesnt come with a single piece of carbon, and it comes with the most cheap, lame, cruddy, super easy to crossthread plastic shock caps that Ive ever seen on a "real" kit froma top brand, like the SCT410.3 did and that even had plastic preload adjusters that fit so poorly for a high number of buyers that they would self adjust after a couple laps. Plastic shock parts are ky biggest gripe and until now are aleays upgraded at the time.i build the kit, buty LHS didnt have the aluminum caps in stock and every time i get a new kit I have a hard time not busting into it and get building within 5 minutes of getting it home, so I certainly wasnt going to wait for an order to finish the build haha. When I ordered the SCT from Amain the plastic caps, bottom caps, spring preload adjusters, parts tree pistons and shaft guides along with the standard steel shock shafts never even came out of the bag as i ordered all the aluminum and cnc parts along with the upgraded shafts with each kit, but being I didnt want to wait to build this kit until all the upgrades show up I bit the bullet and built the shocks with the crappy caps, and they certainly are crappy. At least they include the better X-rings and cnc guides and pistons on this .2 version or I would have had to wait to build the shocks. Every RC Ive owned/built in the last 20 years has gotten every available upgraded shock part or just a better full set before the car hit the road for the first run.

Ive got the Protek 160T servo installed, and the Tekin RSX Pro - Gen3 6.5 turn mod combo along with a couple Maclan 6100mah LiHV shorty's on the way to finish the build off. I grabbed my 9th Futaba reciever to link up to my 7px for control. Im so excited to hit the track with this buggy! Ill post an update after I run the car a few times, but Im pretty confident that it will still have 5 stars based on what I see so far.

But hey Tekno, RAISE THE PRICE $20.00 IF YOU HAVE TO AND INCLUDE THE DAMN ALUMINUM SHOCK CAPS!!!

Tekno RC EB410.2 1/10 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit
This Buggy is amazing. It is the cheapest to own. It doesnt come with carbon crap because it doesnt need it. I have had mine since the .2 was released. In 3 years I have bought 2 parts for it. Front hub from a failed bearing, and a center brace from a big lawn dart. My shocks and diffs dont leak. I keep up with all of the other brands, but unlike the Associated and TLR cars, i dont have to work on mine. Its bullet proof. You have to finish the race in order to win the race.

Tekno RC EB410.2 1/10 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit
This by far the finest 1/10 4WD buggie kit I've ever built. There are people online saying that it's overpriced because of its lack of carbon parts. Nonsense. This kit was a dream to make, and I actually stretched out my time to do it right. The aluminum chassis is super light and firm. All of the parts go together seamlessly, the instructions were very clear, and all of the parts were included and clearly marked. I used all topnotch parts like a MKS Servos X5 HBL550LX Brushless Titanium Gear Low Profile Digital Servo, Tekin RS Gen3 Sensored brushless ESC/Gen4 Motor Combo (8.5T) and my trusty Flysky Noble NB4 4-Channel Transmitter, and a Onisiki Aluminum Case Hyper Booster Capacitor to watch out for glitches, and I'm running it with the very affordable Sunpadow Premium Series 2S Shorty Lipo Battery 4500mAh 120C Hard Case's. (IF you've never heard of Sunpadow LiPo's, pick up s couple for $44 each. Well worth it)

This car rips! It fly's off of jumps and takes turns in the dirt like you wouldn't believe! This is not a race car for me - it's a basher! I have it set up with dirt wheels and this baby will never see a track! It has huge shocks and I have set them up for maximum effect. I have video of this little guy clearing a ten-foot jump with no damage. It does, however, have its limitations, so you have to have some skills or you might damage it. I just wish there were more Hop-Up and performance parts available. I just ordered another one which I'll dial in for racing only.

Tekno RC EB410.2 1/10 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit
Just gave this thing its first whirl around the track its legit love how recitative and sharp it is wish it came a receiver tray so I can just remove the receiver and esc all in one and I REALLY wish it came with aluminum shock caps even if the kit would be more expensive but defiantly a great car another tekno success.

Tekno RC EB410.2 1/10 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit
I can’t say enough about this kit. Everything went together nice and smooth and the instruction manual was excellent! I’m no expert with these by any means, but it was my second kit I’ve put together. My first was an Associated RC10B74 and.... this one was much MUCH easier to assemble. I don’t know if it was just me, but on the B74 kit I fought and fought jamming screws into the proper holes trying to get a thread to start and it was really frustrating, but the EB410.2.. EASY! It made the whole assembly go so much quicker and darn near effortless! Only gripe I have is that there are no traces of carbon fiber anything.. and for $400 it would have been nice to have a few pieces of that but no bother. All the additional hop ups are pretty inexpensive. The end result is great and I can’t wait to try the buggy out. Overall, very awesome kit. If you are looking to get into the hobby and decide to build your first buggy I wouldn’t look any further. This Tekno is gonna rock!

Tekno RC EB410.2 1/10 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit
Build was perfect not a thing missing or incorrect and a straight forward manual really nice to follow.
High quality parts and feel of everything is solid.
Car with the box setup is very good, only change has been softer orange front spring for dirt. Precise and connected & goes where you point it. Has center gear diff in the box so no need to spend extra there. No issues with shock caps if you are careful.

Tekno RC EB410.2 1/10 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit
Other than a small problem with bad M2.5x10 screws while assembling the differentials, the assembly of the kit was perfect and the instructions were great. Tekno customer service is awesome and they promptly responded to all of my emails when I had questions. I used a Hobbywing XR10 Pro G2 ESC with a 7.5T motor. This thing is fast and super easy to drive. I can't say enough good things about this buggy. Buy the aluminum shock caps and the Tekno servo horn.

Tekno RC EB410.2 1/10 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit
This kit has been a pleasure to build. The fit and finish of the parts are amazing. I did not find any parts to be defective or missing. The directions are very detailed and full of tips to make building the kit a breeze. I would highly recommend this kit.

Tekno RC EB410.2 1/10 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit
At the time I am writing this, I can only provide my review in regards to the kit itself and not on the durability and performance of it due to local track being closed in regards to Covid-19 issue.
So about the kit,...I have been owning RC's for 15 years but I always either bought RC's that were ready to run or rollers new or used so they were all already assembled. This Tekno EB410.2 was my first kit to ever build using instructions. All the parts were all properly in separate bags labeled to follow along in the directions. The build instructions were on point with detailed photos and included important notes. Inside the build manual, if you were confused of a certain size screw, there were 1:1 photo sizes of the hardware to be used so simply just take a screw and place it on top of one of the 1:1 size photos to see if you have the right one to use. A lot of notes will also mention to back off a little bit on screws or not to over tighten them, this is important to back some screws off so they don't cause any binding for parts. Pay attention to a lot of the photo illustrations in the manual as it will show proper orientation for the part to be used. Some people I noticed in RC forums complained that the rear drive seemed to bind, it was only cause they had the rear hubs facing the wrong direction and side. So pay attention to the illustrations in the manual cause it clearly tells you how things should be installed and in what direction. One of the things in the manual notes states for the turnbuckles is to use grease or chapstick on the threads when threading the rod ends onto them to prevent the rod ends from popping off the ball studs while making later adjustments. I followed that info provided but afterwards still found the rod ends to pop off the ball studs so I took them apart and placed a turnbuckle in a drill and used the drill to help thread them into rod ends. I threaded them several times to form inner threads inside the rod ends. This worked out great and I others seemed to be doing it too. As far as the rest of the build, everything fit great and there was no need for any cutting, grinding to make parts fit. At the time I ordered this kit, I ordered also some of the carbon fiber parts as well as the aluminum shock caps. Did the kit need these straight out of the box, I don't think so but having them already available as an option to add was great. The kit doesn't come with wheels so do some research of which wheels will fit properly. I believe wheels from TLR 22-4 would work and some wheels that specifically states that they work like wheels from DE Racing which is what I am using on this kit. As far as the body shell and wing, it is a nice thickness to it and design is ok but the velcro provided sucks as the adhesive doesn't stick well so get some better velcro.

Tekno RC EB410.2 1/10 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit
2 laps in and center diff took a crap… talked with guy at track I guess it’s a known thing…. If so why not just make center gear metal… I ordered aftermarket so we’ll see if that fixes reliability

Tekno RC EB410.2 1/10 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit
Like all Tekno kits the manual and fit and finish are like no other. The buggy is beyond durable. I race my EB410.2 weekly and have yet to have a DNF with many crashes. The buggy is a tad heavier then it’s competitors so for stock 13.5 racing you will likely want to get some light weight parts tekno offers and some ceramic bearings. If your racing mod, just build it and go racing, you won’t be disappointed!

Tekno RC EB410.2 1/10 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit
This kit is pretty good. The instructions are great and the car is pretty good but this cars quality is not even comparable to the TLR 22x4 ELITE kit. I would recommend this car to anyone looking to get into the hobby.

Tekno RC EB410.2 1/10 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit
Tekno has improved on the EB410 in ways that I thought couldn't be improved upon, the EB410.2. Got the chassis all put together, put in a Protek 160T low profile servo, and the new Hobbywing 160A G2 speedo. Powered it with an SMC 5.5 Low-Rider motor. The assembly and fitment of parts was Tekno top notch and the manual as always, was very easy to follow. Being that I had already assembled an EB410 about a year ago, I knew what to expect, and still was amazed at how easily it assembled. Shocks are on the front of the rear a-arms now, they beefed up the suspension points, changed the front end geometry, newly designed hinge pin blocks front and rear, subtle changes in shock build now with the O-Ring, Spacer, O-Ring, end spacer, then the bottom cap (remember the MIP o-rings that they came out with-Tekno obviously thought it was a great idea). New shock pistons. Test drove it out in the street in front of the house and the response was exceptional, 5.5 motor was a missile, but everything on pavement looks fast, the true proof will be when I get it on the dirt. Looking forward to it. Tekno has done themselves proud, in my opinion, and produced another top notch contender for the winners circle!
