Tekin Hotwire 3.0 Bluetooth USB Interface

Paired with my 3 Tekin RX8 Gen3's in my Tekno ET48.3, EB48.4 and SCT410.3, the RX4 in my TRX-4 and soon to be RSX Pro that is going in my new 1/10 buggy I just picked up. This thing is great and if you have a compatible Tekin ESC then I would consider this as a must have item if you either spend any time at the track and want to get the most from your equipment, or even if you dont race but still want to be able to dial in your esc to work the best for your specific vehicle, terrain and your driving style. It allows you to access so many more settings and adjustments than the program button and lights on the ESC's do, plus you actually see the numerical values for every setting, not just a certain amount of blinking lights. Its uper fast and easy to use from my phone. Havent used a laptop/computer interface but I would like to try as it looks like cool software. One thing that is better than the big "card" programmers that most other companies use, is this thing is so tiny that you can easily plug it in, link up, make some adjustments from your phone then you just hit the "drive" button and within a couple seconds the changes are stored and the esc goes back to normal driving mode so you can go do a few laps or rips down the street to see how the changes effected things, come back to the pits and make more changes, all without ever having to even touch the car and it only takes a few seconds to go from driving to programming and back to driving. I do it all the time this way so you can actually compare different settings within a minute or two rather than having to pull the car off the track, and make changes the old fasion way. Its so much easier to compare different settings when you can program changes in literally seconds.

My only complaint Ive had is there has been a few times where I had to attempt to link it with my phone several times before they find each other, but its been rare and has never taken more than a few minutes for it to eventually connect. Its only happened maybe 5 times in the 1.5 years Ive owned it, and Ive had similar issues at times with just about every other wireless programmer I have or have used. Ive never liked that pretty much every higher end ESC on the market doesnt include all the required parts to use them to their full potential, or even make some fairly basic adjustments. That is one area where Tekin is better than many, as there are quite a few more settings and levels of adjustment available when programming on the esc itself, but I always just consider the price of any esc I buy to be whatever the esc and programmer or wifi dongle cost together.



The only other thing I hope the next generation of Tekin stuff has is a dedicated port for programmers instead of having to unplug the fan and use that port as its a pain to access especially in the tight confines of my Tekno vehicles. If they did I would just permanently install one on every Tekin equipped vehicle I have as they are super small too. Thats what I do on my Hobbywing powered cars as the XR10 Pro G2 ESC that I use in all my 1/10 rigs has the extra port for programmers or an extra fan..

A must have for Tekin owners! Make changes to the car with out having to come off the driver stand or connect any wires while in the pits. Fantastic!!

Very easy to setup and use. Took longer to remove from the package than it did to install and tune.

Very happy with this product. Connects seamlessly with the ESC and is very easy to change the setup.

Super easy to use. I use this for connecting my Tekin Gen 3 to my Iphone 7 with the bluetooth app for on the go esc changes. It's very small and portable and extactly what you would expect from a great connection. No weird passwords needed to connect. Note that you can't update the ESC software with this, you will have to plug it into a PC to do that.

Great Tekin quality - works well with iOS and makes tuning the ESC and servos a breeze!

Definitely a must have with the Tekin RS Pro Black Edition. I had a similar system (Castle Link for the Sidewinder4) and I loved it. Make my adjustments, save and go. Nothing against program cards (I have them also) but the Bluetooth link just makes it convenient to do without unplugging wires, plugging in wires and setting the program card and so on.
