This is the Trinity D4 1S 17.5 Turn "Certified" Short Stack Brushless Motor. This "Certified" D4 motor has been hand-built using a "Certified" short stack stator for more RPM and power in 1S applications, as well as a TRITEP1112C "Certified" Hi-Torque Rotor. The motors are hand assembled, Motolyser tuned and dyno tested, with the stator, rotor, amp draw and RPM data right on the can.

Other D4 Certified features include Motolyser tested "Certified" sensor boards for improved timing accuracy, sensor performance, and power throughout the entire power band. The "Certified" parts all test within the top 5% of all Trinity tested parts. These competition grade spec racing motors are easily some of the best and fastest Spec motors you can buy.

I am the president of Chargers RC club located in Queensland, Australia. I bought one of these motors to use in the National Championships to race in the 4wd buggy "stock" class. When i tried the motor it seemed to rev ok, but didn't accelerate smoothly in reaching peak rpms. It was like it had 2 speeds...very slow to begin with, then fast after a few seconds. I tried another motor to see if there was an issue with the speed control but the other motor worked fine. I emailed Trinity about the issue and the team manager (Kevin M Abbott) replied giving me two options - send the motor back or he could send me a new sensor board. I picked the second option, since i felt nervous about posting a $150 motor. He asked for my address and that was the last i heard from him. That was almost 6 months ago. After waiting a few months I still didn't get anything in the mail, so i sent him a reminder. I didn't get a reply. I'd like my experience to serve as a warning to anyone considering purchasing Trinity products that: 1. The product may be defective and 2. The customer service may be inadequate Please don't think that because you pay a lot of money that you will get a defect-free product. Be especially careful if you are not located in the US, as warranties may be more difficult to get honoured. I now have a $150 paper weight, so it was an expensive lesson but i hope my experience will help others to avoid similar mistakes.
