  • SPECTRA Color Touch Screen: The 3” 400x240 color TFT-LCD display combined with Orion's specialized ATTS touch software offers an exclusive “touch” experience for the user. Selected high grade components ensure a flawless and intuitive experience, the information is clearly displayed on the screen and the touch screen precisely registers the user input. Thanks to its “touch” input, the charger reaches new levels of usability and interactivity.
  • HPC High Precision Processor: It’s important that the charger gives the battery a complete charge, no matter the type and original status of the battery. This extra flexibility means that you do not need two different chargers or to carry a power supply around with you.
  • Integrated Power Supply: The Advantage Touch charger features a compact sized case, even with an integrated AC/DC power supply in the case. The main advantage of this is that you don’t need to buy a separate power supply along with the charger and you can plug the charger directly into a power outlet.
  • USB Port: The charger is equipped with a mini USB port. Thanks to this port, you can connect your charger to a computer and update its software. Updated software can improve the capabilities of the charger, it also helps it maintain its original value since you can always have the latest functionalities. Software updates can be downloaded from the Orion website.
  • Multi-Language Software: To improve the user-friendliness of the Advantage Touch Charger, Orion has translated the software in different languages. The charger interface is in English Language by default and it can be changed to German, French, Italian and Japanese. Translated software can be downloaded from the Orion website.

Team Orion Advantage Touch Advance AC/DC Charger (6S/10A/100W)
This is the best charger I have ever used. Comes with an internal power supply, very compact, and yields tons of data. The only thing Orion should do is make this charger in a dual model.)

Team Orion Advantage Touch Advance AC/DC Charger (6S/10A/100W)
Dear Armand, thanks again for your reply. For the temperature: it is important to use the correct temp probe (for ex. ORI30264 or ORI30158). For the memory function and broken download link: we updated the download page now and added some explanations why we previously removed it ( The reason is that there is no new firmware available for the chargers and some customers tried to install old firmware on new charger, or 50W firmware on 100W charger which caused problems of course. As I saw now, it was wrong to just deactivate the page instead of adding the information that no new firmware is available. The news link you sent is from 2012 - it concerned the very first 50W models for which we offered firmware updates. But those updates are now all included with the new chargers when you buy them. No need right now to update the charger. For the memory function of your charger you are right: it seems you bought an early model of the 100W charger which didn't have this function - and with customers trying to install wrong firmware, this update has finally not been put on the download page. We need to check your serial number and part# (which is ORI30209) and I will give you the upgrade for free. We added this information on our download page, too. In order to not confuse new customers of Touch Duo, Touch Advance, Touch Pro chargers we do not promote it but ask the customers who miss this function to contact us. I would also like to add some interesting information. The Touch charger first had no "traditional" memory function because of 2 reasons: 1) it is very fast to change from one setting to another and 2) the charger saves the settings for each chemistry. For example if you have a NiMH battery and a LiPo battery, the settings for each battery is automatically stored. You can switch back and forth those chemistries and always have the correct setting. If you have 2 lipo batteries with different capacity, it goes same speed to change a preset than to change the capacity. This was first our reason to not include a traditional memory function. Now - because of customer request - we added it and give it to everyone who needs it. And as said, we included it with all new models as soon as it was available. Sorry for the long text - and sorry that I need to rate the product but else i cannot send this message. Thanks!)

Lorenz, I was surprised to see a reply. Thanks for that. But I still believe you have an issue. First, there is no memory function. To be clear, I mean memory presets where you can save charging profiles (for ex, memory 1 could be for charging AA batteries and the associated setting, memory 2 could be for 2s car LiPo, memory 3 could be for 4s, memory 5 could be for NiCd, memory 6 could be for NiMh, etc.) If you say you do, then kindly point out how to use the feature in the manual. The manual I just downloaded from your website does not mention any memory function. The website also does not mention this feature. Next, the temp charging does not work. Again, please direct me to the manual where it shows how to use this (it's not in the manual I just downloaded). The fan is squeaky - you suggest contacting the store where I bought it from...I bought it from Amain which is why I'm a 'verified user'. I know of others that have the fan issue. I thought I needed a firmware update, but you state there is no update available. But this link says you do.
-upgrade-en.html. Following the directions in that site to go to the downloads area gives a 'Page Not Found' error. You ask which tech support channel I tried to use with no response - there was only one support channel through your website under 'Contact Us'. Your points on the 5A discharge, power wattage and AC built in are correct. I should have paid more attention to it. Lastly, I don't want to come across as a 'hater' for your products. In fact, for several years, I've run (and still do) Orion batteries, motors and other accessories (even an Orion personal lap timer from several years back). I'm very much a fan of those. But not your chargers just yet. If you believe my charger to be defective, please negotiate Amain for a replacement. I still have all original packaging. But note that there are many who have the same issues. Respectfully, Armand

Original Review - Do not get this charger. Although the touch screen portions of this is good, you will get no tech support once it breaks. The fan was "squeaky" as soon as I plugged it in. Although Orion's website brags about the ability to update this charger, their files from their website don't even work, are not updated or maintained. Their tech support never answers. The peak charge by temperature doesn't work. This temp feature doesn't work for others who own the same charger in the forums as well. The charger states 5A discharge... but since there's a limit of 10W power, guess what? If you have a 2s Lipo at 7.4V, this means that the most amps discharge using the (W = V x Amps) formula 7.4 volts / 10 watts = a whopping 1.35 Amps. This is pathetic considering my old Duratrax ICE (the one this charger was supposed to replace) can discharge at a true 10 Amps. And lastly, this charger DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A BATTERY MEMORY FUNCTION. My old Duratrax has 8 or 10! The good points? It has a built in AC so you don't have to lug a power supply. It balance charges (so does all the other mid to high end chargers out there). It has a nice touch screen. Although this charger seems to be "fancy" with the touch screen features, I absolutely DO NOT trust this charger. I reverted back to my trusty old Duratrax ICE.)
