While I didn't run the stock unit before I replaced it with this one, I can tell you that there is a noticeable quality difference in finish and looks. So if it performs as such, then I feel it was money well spent.

Least expensive upgrade to tighten up steering. Combine this with the HA Ball Ends and you will be much happier.

Team Losi Racing Hard Anodized Servo Saver Tube
Possibly the most underrated upgrade on the SCTE. Replacing the stock "metal" with this tube combined with replacing the stock Ackermann arm with carbon fiber eliminated most of the steering slop a lot of people complain about the truck. I eliminated even more of the slop with hard anodized pivot balls. The front of my truck is super tight now. Must have part for serious racers.
