Team Losi Racing Aluminum Rear Gearbox Bearing Insert Set (2)
i wouldnt tear apart the rear of the car just for this upgrade but when you re build your rear diffs its good to go ahead and add this along with either the tekno or losi lightened hd outdrives while your in there. the assembly/dissassembly gets easier the more you do it. i can do mine quickly and without the manual after 3 times.

Team Losi Racing Aluminum Rear Gearbox Bearing Insert Set (2)
Honestly I just did my research on upgrades and highest on the list of the "needs category" these was the most agreed as the first thing to replace due to warping and slop in the carriers. So as I was building the kit from new, I bought them, installed them, and forgot about it. Apparently it was money well spent because anyone who doesn't seem to have them has problems within a season or so, while my truck is running as good as new. Do yourself a favor and consider these mandatory if you own an SCTE.

This product is a very worthwhile investment. The stock plastic inserts will warp over time and could cause havoc with the diff gear mesh. With these, you don't have to worry about that anymore. Highly recommended.

Absolutely need. The only way you're going to get the shims you need for your differentials easily and the bearings will seat much better. Prevents warping.
