Team Losi Racing 22X-4 1/10 4WD Buggy Race Kit
I had the gen1 xx-4 when it first came out. Really liked the kit and the build. Decided I wanted to get into 4wd buggies again so I purchased this kit. Manual is clear, very detailed and a default set-up sheet is included which is nice. Can’t wait to build and race it. One thing that gets me is a scale that measures in grams is recommend for the rear diff build! So have one on hand before building the kit. Edit: Started the build after dinner, had most of the car built in about 5-6 hours and I was taking my time. It was a pleasure to build so far. Bags are labeled nicely. Each step tells you which bag to use and you actually use all the parts in the bag before moving on! WELL DONE TLR!!!!

Team Losi Racing 22X-4 1/10 4WD Buggy Race Kit
I have been building kits for as long as I can remember, almost from every manufacturer. I have built many Losi vehicles from the earliest days of the JRX2 to the most current 22X-4. I think TLR has outdone themselves in this iteration and progression of the shaft driven 4WD class. I had gotten that itch to build another kit and was looking at the 22X-4. The more I looked at it and read about it, the more intrigued I became, so, I did it. The build was truly spot on, the fitment was excellent, the engineering appeared well thought out, needless to say I was impressed. It was very driveable on the track, almost too driveable. The quickness of rotation, the smoothness of steering, the acceleration, was and is something I am going to have to get used too, put my reactions to the test. Can I step it up to the 22X-4 level, you betcha, and will enjoy the fruits of mine and TLR's efforts!!

Team Losi Racing 22X-4 1/10 4WD Buggy Race Kit
So in the winter of 2019/2020 I decided that after only running 1/8 scale since the 90's that I wanted to try one of the new 4wd 1/10 buggies. Over the previous few months I had built 3 new 1/8 Tekno kits and loved them so I grabbed the new at the time EB410.2 I had so much fun in just a couple days with it that I decided I wanted to get a really good 2wd buggy, so I picked up a TLT 22 5.0 Elite kit which was also pretty new at the time. I was immediately impressed with the fit and finish of the parts, all of the included carbon and aluminum parts, even the pre trimmed body was perfectly cut. I was sold so as soon as the 22x4 came out it was the next rig to be added to the collection, and I have to say that while they are all fun, the 22x4 has been my favorite 1/10 buggy. Its smooth, fast, there are a lot of optional parts, and other than a hard crash on the street breaking the front shock tower, its been super durable. $100.00 more than the Tekno, but all the carbon and aluminum parts that are included more than make up for the difference, plus everything just fits so well and the parts just seem to be more precisely made. I also grabbed every option part that TLR has for it, the aluminum shock caps, the double jointed front driveshafts, aluminum center diff mount, carbon front brace, esc plate, center diff, aluminum rear hubs etc. Ive installed the same Hobbywing 6.5t combo in it that I put in all the other 1/10 rigs Ive now collected and it rips. Very different to driving the bigger 1/8 scale stuff but still fun.

Team Losi Racing 22X-4 1/10 4WD Buggy Race Kit
This is the best fit, finish and build quality of any kit I have built so far. The parts are very cleanly machined and of premium quality. The materials choice is also excellent - plastic, carbon fiber and aluminum are used in a very intelligent blend to give the best benefit of each in the locations they are used. The one exception to that may be the plastic shock caps, but then again the same shock caps have not leaked in my 22 5.0 - you just need to make sure you do a clean initial thread in the bleeder screw hole and then ensure you don't strip them out in haste at some point down the road.

MAKE SURE you get the MIP 5mm nut driver, because you really do need it to to get the input gear attached to the front and rear driveshafts inside the diff housing. The supplied cross wrench's 5mm end is not long enough to do a good job. If you have the thin profile 5mm nut driver its NBD. If you don't it would be a huge PITA to get that one part done well.

Team Losi Racing 22X-4 1/10 4WD Buggy Race Kit
Unbelievably nice kit. It is a TAD on the heavy side? I have bought every lightening part available, and even with a 130g ProTek 4800mAh Low CG short and a 130g Xerun V10 G3 10.5 turn motor, and I am still over 20g over the minimum weight for ROAR 1/10 4wd buggy, 1613g. I have more in upgrades than it cost me to get the car track read during my initial build, pretty much all in lightening components, and the car is still a tad heavy. I could get below the min weight if I install the composite diff gears and cross pins that I already have, but I am a bit wary of sacrificing strength there.

Anyways, that's the only minor niggle I have. I went all out with the upgrades because the car is just so amazing in craftsmanship and performance, I felt it deserved it.

Speaking of performance and durability, it's top tier. The handling with the suggested initial setup is just unbelievable. I took it out the local motocross style RC track, with huge jumps meant for 1/8 cars and lots of deep divets and rain runoff trenches, and this thing performs like a dream. And of course while out there I absolutely abused the car. After maybe 6 packs of abuse at the big track, and then another 30+ packs through it on my backyard track, I have finally had my first failure; one of the rear hub bearings gave out. Like... wow. After all the horrendous landings, cartwheels, and high speed traction rolls, a worn out bearing was the first thing to fail.

Just, amazing work TLR. Fantastic kit. 11/10. Out of all the cars I have, this is hands down my favorite. And I don't see that changing any time soon.

Team Losi Racing 22X-4 1/10 4WD Buggy Race Kit
I have been an AE guy for quite a while(thank you b5m) and always thought of the AE-TLR like coke and pepsi. You can like one but not the other. Boy I couldn't be more wrong! Without a doubt my next car will be a TLR. So easy to assemble. Fit and finish is bar none and their shocks are probably the easiest to bleed. I've raced it (primarily in the 13.5 class) and have broken one thing, the lower a arm. Box setup works great. No complaints

Team Losi Racing 22X-4 1/10 4WD Buggy Race Kit
Received the car on time as Amain promised. The car itself is incredible. On my first day running it a day after building it, I was able to drive it consistently and fast in a local club race. With More tuning and practice this is a very fast car.

Team Losi Racing 22X-4 1/10 4WD Buggy Race Kit
Picked this as my first kit ever based on the reviews in forums and my being a fan of TLR. I was not disappointed at all. The build went flawlessly, the quality seems outstanding, and I'm excited to be able to get it on the track. TLR provides a lot of nice touches in this kit including the pre-cut body, wing, and front scoop, including wheels with the kit, and many other small details that make it come together very nicely.

Team Losi Racing 22X-4 1/10 4WD Buggy Race Kit
5 STARS!!
It's almost hard to believe how well this buggy performs. This thing is so stable and planted right out of the box using the kit setup. You can drive this buggy very hard and it stays consistent. TLR engineered a masterpiece with this platform! Fit and finish are excellent, the quality of the parts is top notch.
If you're looking at reviews and researching which 4wd buggy to get, don't hesitate- get this kit!

Team Losi Racing 22X-4 1/10 4WD Buggy Race Kit
This kit came together perfectly, by far one of the best fit and finishes of any kit i’ve put together. The diffs and shocks feel incredibly smooth compared to some of the other 4wd kits on the market, and to top it off it’s one of the only kits that I didn’t need another 200 dollars in hop up parts.

Over all very pleased with the car and ready to hit the track

Team Losi Racing 22X-4 1/10 4WD Buggy Race Kit
Built a lot of kits over past 32 years Mostly Team Associated. This by far is the best engineering I've ever seen in a RC buggy. Super easy to drive fast and tons of steering. All you need is a good set of tires for your track and your on point. Best 4x4 buggy and you won't be disappointed for buying this kit.

Team Losi Racing 22X-4 1/10 4WD Buggy Race Kit
This is my 2nd 1/10 Scale Buggy. I had an Associated 4wd 1/10 Scale Buggy in 2012 but I didn't put it together. I ended up selling it so it doesn't count. This TLR 22X-4wd Buggy is Awesome!!! It went together with ease and it runs and handles Great! I'm running it with the stock set up and it handles great even on a blown-out track. Great Buggy worth the price.

Team Losi Racing 22X-4 1/10 4WD Buggy Race Kit
This was by far the best build I’ve done. I’ve built everything from 2wd buggy to short course and everything in between. Easiest drivetrain to assemble. The car reacts smooth but still as sharp as you need it to when you need it to. I would definitely recommend this car for anyone wanting to break into 4wd buggy.
