I could not be more impressed with the kit I received from Losi. All of the instructions are clearly labeled and it was an easy build. I've set the car up in rear motor to have a bit more breathing space inside the chassis. It really is a tight fit for all of the electronics, but it's like that for a reason. Keeping the car in a low profile helps this thing corner on a dime and hold a smooth line through turns and jumps. Things you should keep in mind with this car. If you're buying an ESC make sure you have one where you can solder the wires on at an angle and not the ESCs that have vertical mounts. I have a vertical wire mount ESC and there is no room to spare for these wires to bend. Plan this thing out before you slap on the electronics or you may find yourself doing the same thing over and over again to get it right. Oh and another note: The setup in the instructions gives the car some bump steer in the stock setup. Pay attention to where the washers go if you don't want bump steer.
this buggy is awesome. flat out. i have paired it with a dynamite fuze 3300sc motor/esc combo and dynamite 4000mah 20c 2s packs. very budget minded set-up to say the least. it is a really great handling buggy, and even with my electronics i have plenty of power for my track, and plenty to keep up with the novaks and tekins at my track. i love the way this buggy flies, drives, handles and puts the power down. i originally bought this to help me learn how to drive off road, i have an 1/8th scale and it rarely gets driven cause i love this buggy so much!

I continue to enjoy my 22. Purchasing the TLR hop-ups makes the buggy almost bullet-proof. You can choose the B4.1 or the 22 and wouldn't go wrong. However, after owning both, the TLR22 flies better, has more adjustment options, and is more consistent than my B4.1 ever was. Also, I suggest getting the Ghea shock pistons--they make a huge difference. I continue to work on my set-up and driving, but have turned lap times in the low 17sec range and I am not a great driver. One of my home track's better drivers turned a 15sec lap with my 22. Try the Radiopost blue servo, Viper VTX10 or 10R, and Viper VST 7.5T motor for a solid, all around set-up.
This buggy is extraordinary. I have been running b4.1 for a year now and have held out on the 22 because everyone at my track says they are no good for our dusty low traction surface.
First few runs were quite squirrely and the rear just wasn't planted after entering a corner.
After reducing my drag brake the buggy was acting more predictably. Very pleased with the results. If you can manage your braking manually and carry a bit of speed into and through the corner, the car will will be less likely to want to spin out when you reapply throttle upon exit.
Great kit, I found that it was very difficult to find a esc that would fit the two that I found fit were the tekin rs and if your looking for a budget friendly setup the hobbywing ezrun series esc and motor fit great but the esc just fits but it kinda rubs the body but other than that it works great, on two cell saddle packs I was suprised to hit over 50 mph with 21t pinion on the 80$ motor esc combo, durability on this kit is unbeatable , please note that it doesn't come with tires tho,
all i can say is smooth operator damn this buggys smooth and it's easy to build solid as a rock the best buggy i ever raced!
Had mine a few days now, really impressed with this car. Easy to build and has a ultra slim layout with everything right down the center line for good weight balance.
You will want a short sensor wire if you use the shock tower mounting spot for your speed controller, this is the one i bought for mine-

You will also want to shorten your servo wire if you are mounting your receiver in front of the battery, i bought a tool for remaking the Futaba J plugs-

I am just getting back into RC, and snapped one of these up as soon as I saw it discounted so heavily.
I was so impressed by the design & build quality, that I ordered myself another one.
At $180, its the best value high quality 2WD RC buggy you can get.
BEST BUGGY KIT EVER I LIKE IT SO MUCH I BOUGHT 4 SO FAR AND 2 MORE TO COME. VERY TRUSTWORTHY I RACE STOCK & OPEN, 22 BUGGY IS BY FAR THE BEST QUALITY OUT THERE AND BEST PRICED.
Have this buggy with Tekin Pro RS esc which fits perfectly, also have a tekin redlin 8.5t.
This is my first buggy and it is great. Handles like a dream, turn in is fantastic and balance over jumps is amazing. Standard shocks setup may not be dialed but definitely good performance all round. This car is fun to drive with relative ease and is far too good for my current skills but i hope to grow into it.
I have this in a rear motor setup and race it on a hard packed dusty track.
This buggy is awesome! Alls I have to have to say about it is good things! Only problem i had was striped screw heads which isn't to hard to deal with. So I bought the jammin products screw set for the 22. Still waiting for them to come in! Great buggy tho! A must buy.
This buggy is awesome. with a couple mods this thing is dialed! Great kit
Just bought the kit looks like a really well designed buggy, quality materials, just wandering would anyone be able to tell me what tooth pinion i should be using with the stock spur if I am using a 6 turn mamba. I am not looking for speed I am after a setup which will make the motor less damaging to the driveline?
The box says its a revolutionary machine, and its right. The kit build is very easy, directions are top notch, included tools for shocks are great, comes with oils, thread lock, grease, and special tools. Very fun to build. But even better is when you drive it. Its the smoothest thing I have ever driven. I have only one race on it but I can tell already its something completely different for this class. I installed an RS Pro, and D3 13.5 for 1/10 spec racing. The tekin boost can be a handful for the older generation cars to handle but not the 22. It can handle more power and it feels smoother and under control, this leads to more consistant laps. I cant wait to race it again, and again...Congrats to losi for starting this revolution, bring on the copycats...
The kit was pretty easy to build. I put a Tekin pro ecs and a Tekin 6.5t motor. I love it . The price was really good . This car is Losi best one yet.
I really like the ease of building this buggy,,i installed a mamba max pro with cooling fan,on the body I cut out the scoop in the top of the body and it cools the speed controller just fine, ,,I'm running a 9000Kv motor and this losi handles so good it makes me look good.!!! This is a great design and well worth th wait,,it is just a wonderful design,,,,
This is one of the best cars I've ever owned. It's my first kit and I picked it up from a local hobby shop. I run rear motor with speed passion electronics. It's so light that I sometimes overclear jumps with a 17.5t motor. The performance is outstanding hands down. My friend runs a B4.2 and I drove it still didn't beat my 22. The car is easy and fun to drive. The motor slips a bit so I would recommend to get some motor screws from lunsford or anti-slip screws to prevent stripping out any gears. Durability wise it holds up very well. I haven't broken many parts off of it but sometimes the ball cups pop off. My last shock fluid change went smoothly and I've had no problem with the supension. Great for an indoor track. I run barcodes for tires. The manual instructions are clear and come in handy for working on it. The car is overall really good and I just ordered the truck version (22t) because I'm very satasfied with the buggy. This even changed my friends perspective on buggies. Before he was totally against buggies. He drove a 22 and now he's buying one. I would seriously recommend this car. If you are thinking about buying one, do it. Great performance for racing, and fun to drive too.
