The Team Associated Reflex DB10 RTR is a Ready-To-Run RC electric desert buggy based on the 9-time R.O.A.R. Short Course National Championship-winning SC10 truck. It features some major upgrades not normally found in RTRs: a water-resistant high-power Reedy brushless speed control and 3300kV brushless motor, a 2.4GHz 2-channel radio system as well as Associated's DVC (Dynamic Vehicle Control) receiver unit with built-in adjustable digital gyro which allows vehicle stability to be adjusted to flow with the terrain. A Reedy metal-gear digital high-torque servo and LED lights front and rear round out the Reflex DB10!

The suspension also received an upgrade with the addition of adjustable blue anodized aluminum V2 12mm big bore coil-over shocks. The gearbox now comes with a heavy-duty sealed-gear differential and externally adjustable V2 slipper clutch. 81mm CVA driveshafts increase traction and chassis support. Hex-drive, realistic off road wheels and tires, to keep the desert buggy gripping the ground, come standard in the Reflex DB10.

Team Associated Reflex DB10 RTR 1/10 Electric 2WD Brushless Desert Buggy
Absolutely love this buggy! Several bad landings and the body is holding up great. A lot of hard hits landing directly on the front corners of the buggy, would surely tear up the front suspension on other rigs but not this one! Plastic everything is not an issue, it has metal where it counts. Extremely durable. It is conservatively geared so it’s not super fast (around 25mph on 2s), but run time is amazing. Getting around 45 minutes on a 2s 6500 pack and the motor is barely warm. Steering is great and it flies beautifully. Very stable in the air and can even pull of whips with the rights driver ;) Tires would not seem like they’d be good but they’re super fun on road and actually get decent grip on loose surfaces. Overall love this buggy, it’s something I can drive and not worry about. Don’t have to be concerned about scratching an aluminum chassis or waking the neighbors with an big loud 1/8 monster truck. Just very fun and drivable, something you can have fun with anywhere at anytime!

Team Associated Reflex DB10 RTR 1/10 Electric 2WD Brushless Desert Buggy
PROS: This thing is great for the money, considering what else you can spend $300 on. I have an Arrma Typhon and wanted something different, and boy does the DB10 deliver! The handling is phenomenal, thanks to the awesome (award-winning) chassis set-up by Team Associated, the Reedy electronics, and their DVC system. I was worried about being disappointed by the 2wd handling, but certainly wasn’t. I’ve used 2s 5200mah batteries and get a solid 20 minute run with about 30mph top speed on pavement. I believe it does about 45mph on 3s. Shocks, transmitter, and remote have all been awesome as well. Also, the Trophy Rat body is interchangeable with this one, and they give you the mounting post for a short course body too.

CONS: The gear mesh was set perfectly out of the box, but tightened up after my first good chassis slap. A quick fix and no harm done. Also, the wheels/tires are great on the street, but had problems in loose sandy dirt. The air hole is too big, allowing dirt to get in, and they got a bit of a wobble after my first bash. They still worked well enough for me to have a great time, but I upgraded to Proline Badlands with Renegade wheels and no more wobble or sand fill. Lastly, an m3 nut worked it’s way loose from the steering turnbuckle and got lost, ending my fun for the day, but later fixed with a bit of loctite.

Overall, it handles great, runs cool, and looks awesome. I may get another one with the paddle tires in the future!

Also, if this is your first rc, don’t get the version with the battery/charger for $60 more. Get a decent 2s 5200mah battery($30 and longer run time than the 3300mah this comes with) and the Dynamite Prophet Sport mini charger($30). Which is the same one this comes with. More bang for the same money.
