This is an optional Team Associated 12 Tooth Pinion Gear. To use this pinion gear you must use the optional 42 tooth ring gear (ASC81004).
The RC8B3 and RC8B3e come stock with a 44 tooth ring gear (ASC81002) which is to be used with the stock 13 tooth pinion gear (ASC81003).
