Team Associated has taken the same performance engineering and developed found in the RC8B3.1 nitro buggy and used that data to create the brushless-powered RC8B3.1e Team Kit!

Answering the demands of the fastest-growing 1/8 scale e-buggy racing class, the RC8B3.1e Team Kit was designed specifically for brushless power. Features include H.T.C. (High Torque Capacity) differentials with increased fluid capacity and a more consistent feel lap after lap, precision CVA drive shafts front and rear to keep suspension travel free through the entire stroke, and a unique, proprietary, hard-anodized 7075-T6 aluminum chassis ingeniously designed for optimum weight distribution and superior handling!

Cross-class chassis compatibility. Knowing that racers would be competing in both 1/8 nitro and electric at the same events, the RC8B3.1e was designed to handle and respond to changes just like the RC8B3.1. This similar handling characteristic gives the racer a huge advantage, as tuning changes can be applied to both buggies seamlessly.

All of these improvements lead to a car that is easier to drive, more consistent lap after lap, and suits a wider variety of tracks.

Designed to handle, built to win.
The RC8B3.1e Team Kit was designed to give the dedicated electric 1:8 racer the highest level of performance that will help take your racing program to the next level.

Team Associated RC8 B3.1e Team 1/8 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit
Great kit! Build went well, only issues I had was fitment of the side guards was a little off in regards to hole alignment and I had a tough time installing the front gear box. I figured out that the screws that hold the diff cover at the top of the box need to be left loose when installing the gear box onto the chassis. After i did this it went together easy. Also, my kit only had 5k diff oil instead of the 7k and 3k needed for kit setup. The drivetrain moves insanely freely, as does the steering rack. Im running a Hobbywing XR8 plus and a Hobbywing 1900kv motor with a Protek 150T servo. Power delivery is smooth and predictable. The buggy jumps and lands very well, the chassis doesn't get upset when I land in the flats, just plants and sticks. Access to the diffs is fantastic, I can pull all 3 diffs in about 5 minutes making tuning that much easier.. as far as durability, I have had some very hard crashes, including flying into a light pole at the track, hard cartwheel crashes and smacking hard into a wall at the track and I havent broken anything. At all. It is a very confidence inspiring buggy.

Team Associated RC8 B3.1e Team 1/8 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit
This is my 3rd associated rc. I have to say that the quality has gone down hill for TA. I am very disappointed with the quality and how many parts were missing in my kit. I said I will always be a fan of TA but I believe those days may be coming to an end. I wish I would have received an exchange since there were so many issues with the kit. Amain did do the best they could to make it right but associated this kit has been nothing but a disappointment.

Team Associated RC8 B3.1e Team 1/8 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit
This is my 4th EBuggy in about 6 years, first from Team Associated. I have been running TLR since the 8ight-E 2.0. After having numerous headaches with handling setups and other issues with the 8ight-E 4.0, I moved to this kit after test driving a local's B3.1e. This buggy has brought me to another level of competition. I'm now running at a pace with the top sponsored drivers in the area and continue to improve. It has an abundance of steering, very well balanced, easy to drive and takes all of the abuse that an 1/8th scale buggy goes through without batting an eye. Maintenance is extremely easy with the access to the differentials as well as just replacing drive pins in the axles rather than having to buy full drive shafts over and over. Small changes, such as truggy shock shafts and a few carbon hop ups and this has been my favorite kit I've driven yet.

Team Associated RC8 B3.1e Team 1/8 4WD Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit
I’m an Associated fan since the gold tub RC10’s. This kit is fantastic! My first 4WD and 1/8 scale. This kit went together very well for me. I’m running all REEDY electrics and Futaba radio and receiver.
