Team Associated ProSC 4x4 Brushless Ready-To-Run W

This was my first RC in over 30 years. I’d actually researched a 4x4 Slash for the last year or so and was pretty set on one. I had a limited budget when I walked in and the Slash would have drained it even before a charger and batteries. Then I was the ProSC. I was familiar with Team Associated stuff as well as Thunder Tiger who makes this rig. This one came with a 2S LiPo and a charger in the box. Price was over $90 less than the Slash before you add in the battery and charger. So I said what the hell. Got it home, charged the batteries (I bought a second 2S) and took it out. I was shocked at how fast it was straight off. That Reedy power was no joke. Bad news, I broke a rear ball cup in about 5 minutes on a little berm from dirt to grass. HT had almost no replacement parts for this truck so I used some Traxxas pieces and it was fine. Over the last 3.5 weeks since I bought it I’ve flogged it at a construction site, skatepark, outdoor RC dirt track and an indoor off-road track and aside from a broken front shock tower it’s held up amazingly. Super fast, great suspension, tough overall. I recently picked up a Slash 4x4 and honestly this truck outperforms it almost every way. The only downside is the aftermarket is pretty weak for these trucks. You can get thousands of parts for the Slash which I like but all in all the ProSC is one helluva truck for the price and worth much more to be honest.
