Team Associated Apex 1/18 RTR Electric Touring Car
First impressions count, and the body quality brings an otherwise great car down to 3 stars. The chassis and mechanical parts appear to be of very good quality. However, the body decal job is absolute garbage. Toys R Us RC cars have better decal jobs. I spent an hour trying to remove the shoddily applied decals and their residue and still couldn't get the stuff off with Goo Gone. Team Associated would be better off just letting the customer apply the decals. When I say shoddily applied, I mean bubbles, wrinkles, crooked, and out of place. The body was also a little warped near the right rear wheel well. This car is hard to beat on value for the mechanical stuff, but I still have a hard time recommending this car because the decals were so annoying and bad.

Team Associated Apex 1/18 RTR Electric Touring Car
You can tell right away that the Apex is from a professional maker of radio controlled cars. Out of the box the kit works flawlessly, has a nice heavy feel to it, and a manual on how to reassemble parts if needed. I picked up the Drag Link Kit as well and it steers even better. It comes with ball bearings, oil filled shocks, and a painted body ready to decal. Street tires are nice for grip but you can also drift. Lots of adjustments for the Reedy remote and esc. Charger works well, but it will take up to 10 hours to charge. Metal drive train with ball bearings sealed the deal for me, and of course the reputation of Team Associated.
