About The Racing Fighter

X-SA

Kits are a big part of what Tamiya does. But they also understand that some people may not have the time or confidence for the assembly of an R/C model - that is why they have come up with the X-SA (Expert-Semi-Assembled) series of models. Each product features a fully-assembled and setup chassis with TEU-105BK ESC (electronic speed control) included. All you need to do is provide the R/C equipment and battery pack, install it, and you're ready to drive.

Pre-Painted Body

The body comes painted in bright orange and silver with all decals applied. The polycarbonate rear wing allows for excellent downforce and more rear traction. An exposed roll cage around the cockpit and a lower front section give this a classic dune buggy appearance.

Performance DT-03 Chassis

The slim form of the DT-03 chassis stems from the lightweight yet durable monocoque frame, which features a longitudinally-positioned battery and radio equipment along the centerline for excellent balance. The combination of a long 287mm wheelbase and 4-wheel double wishbone suspension married to long arms, allows the model to handle with stability on poor surfaces. Ribbed front and square spike rear tires provide ample grip, and the rear-positioned gearbox is sealed to protect from dust and dirt, with the built-in differential gear offering smooth cornering.

Included Electronics

This chassis Kit includes both a torque tuned brushed motor and TEU-105BK ESC. These components combine to deliver a performance enhanced on-road racing experience. The RS-540 Torque-Tuned motor offers higher top speeds and increased acceleration. Using the TEU-105BK ESC with a 7.2V NiMH battery, with a Tamiya connector, allows for great power to the motor with a classic buggy feel.
