About The Grasshopper
Pre-Painted Hard Body
The ABS body comes pre-painted in candy green and is ready to receive your selected decals. The body also allows for depictions of a roll cage and large light pods. Experienced hobby enthusiasts will love the attention to detail added around driver figure while entry level enthusiasts will love the ease of assembly.
Performance Drivetrain
The perfect combination of simple assembly and tough exterior is what made the Grasshopper so special. The durable plastic body is fastened to the bathtub resin monocoque chassis by screws, creating a solid frame that can absorb any type of rough handling. Off-road tracks can be tackled with ease thanks to coil spring dampers, and independent swing axle front and rigid axle rear suspension. A sealed gearbox keeps the dirt and stones out of the differential and gears for smooth driving and cornering. Paddle style rear tires and grooved front tires combined with 3-piece assembly type wheels provide excellent grip on dirt tracks.

This kit includes a potent Hobbywing 1060 Brushed ESC and a 380-size brushed motor. The compact ESC boasts extreme performance, complemented by a built-in capacitor module for efficient power delivery. With exceptional current endurance capability, easily configurable parameters using ESC jumpers, and automatic throttle range calibration for user-friendly setup, the Quicrun 1060 stands out. Its impressive built-in BEC output capacity, built-in capacitor, and IP-67 waterproof rating further elevate its reliability, making it a top-tier choice for enthusiasts seeking optimal performance in their RC adventures.

Connector Information
When upgrading to a high current LiPo battery, it is recommended to also upgrade your battery connector. We recommend using an XT60 or T-Style connector for this application. Please check out the video below to learn how to solder on a T-Style connector.

No delay in shipping, which was quick and on time. This old school RC from the the early 80s is just what I needed. When I was younger we could never get a hold of hobby grade car. After building this one which was a joy to put together and then playing with it. it brought back so many memories. I love how these cars are still around and just as durable as the ones from the past made from better plastics and modern updates. Must have for any collection.

Tamiya Grasshopper "Candy Green Limited Edition" 1/10 Off-Road 2WD Buggy Kit
I always wanted one of these then saw this limited edition. Im building this one with a lot of aluminum parts. A solid aluminum axle/transmission, aluminum anodized green rims, aluminum front A-arms and spindles, Aluminum bumper, a black aluminum chassis and a whole slew of other aluminum parts. I think the only thing left that is plastic is the green body.

Tamiya Grasshopper "Candy Green Limited Edition" 1/10 Off-Road 2WD Buggy Kit
Will this thing even make it around a offroad track? It looks plastic, thin, old, and scrinchy. As soon as those tiny dry shocks compress uneven they will scrape and lock down. I could break this car in one lap.
