The Tamiya 1/10 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia 2WD On-Road Kit recreates a true classic in the form of the Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. The Karmann Ghia was a stylish coupé based upon the same platform as the legendary Beetle. Its body was designed by Italian firm Ghia and manufactured by the German company Karmann. The polycarbonate body in this replica sits on top of the Tamiya RWD M-06 chassis.
Great RR Performance from the M-06
The M-06 chassis features a rear-mounted motor, rear-drive setup and features a longitudinally-mounted battery pack, with R/C equipment positioned on either side for optimum balance and a low center of gravity. 4-wheel double wishbone suspension uses metal-plated wheels, equipped with 60D radial tires at the front and 60D super grip tires at the rear. In addition, a 3-piece steering linkage offers nimble handling response. A large bumper is included.

An absolutely beautiful car! I painted mine metallic dark blue and used magnetic body mounts. It is one gorgeous work of RC car eye candy. :)

One of Tamiya’s most beautiful bodies ever made. Just don’t paint it box art, it deserves better. Mine is two tone, Corsa Blue with a Pearl White top.

Tamiya 1/10 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia 2WD On-Road Kit (M-06 Chassis)
This kit is awesome. The body is highly detailed with a lot of chrome and additional pieces. Watching this kit run draws a lot of attention from how cool the body looks.
The chassis is a rear engine, RWD format. This gives you lots of traction on the rear wheels but the front will feel light when trying to steer. This kit features high quality, easy to assemble pieces that provides a few hours of entertainment for the seasoned Tamiya kit builder.
I would recommend a suspension upgrade ASAP since the friction dampers from Tamiya really aren't the best.

So I've been trying to get my wife to do more than tolerate my addiction to tiny trucks for quite a while now. She has always shared my love ov vintage Volkswagens, with her favorate being Karmann Ghias. I saw this as the perfect opportunity to push her over the edge. Guess what? She LOVES it! Tamiya has always been known as a great scale kit and this one's no exception. Everything went together without any issues and I would recommend this kit to any VW fan. Happy Wife ~ Happy Life!
