The SSD Yeti Wide Diamond Rear Axle is the ultimate axle housing for your Yeti! This axle housing features integrated upper link mounts for a reduced parts count, combined with the diamond style pumpkin to improve clearance. The removable third member holds the locker securely without the need for bearing caps, and more importantly replaces the stock pinion bearings with larger, more durable 5x13x4mm bearings.
Plus, this axle increases the rear axle width and eliminates the need for offset wheels or adapters, allowing you to use any brand 2.2 crawler wheel on your Yeti. Plus, it helps to even out the front/rear track width, for improved balance.

finely sculpted axle housing but shafts are garbage. snapped the axle after 15 minutes of running on flat dirt (no jumping!). snapped right at the axle pin hole. returned to amain and they were awesome enough to give me a full refund which i applied to upgrade the yeti stock axle housing to the full width.

Running this axle on my custom RC Trophy Truck. Had it for over 3 years and no issues running on 3s with 12lb truck. Works great for trophy truck builds although I would prefer if the lower trailing arm mounts were closer to the outside but you can make your own brackets that can change this offset. Probably buying another for my second trophy truck build

I have had this for 6 months and has worked flawlessly!! Has taken some good abuse, everything still tight and looks good! Very nice design. Still running the hardened axle shafts with no issue! I do have the guard for the pumpkin. It has done very well at protecting it. I would recommend it when getting the axle.

This is the second one of these I have purchased I like them so much. My only gripe is you really need the skid for these or they are anchors and I wish they included them in the purchase instead of an additional 10 bucks for a piece of plastic. I prefer this axle over the VP alternatives due to the extra width available so you do not have to run a wide SLW.

Impressed! I have the SSD centered with the HD axle shafts that have no outer pin holes. Outer wheel stainless hexes. There sesigned with a rectangular hole in the middle for the axle shafts. Running a super hot Tekin motor, Beveled HD gears, Hot Racing steel spool and 5.5 Alain Pit Bull tires. I have a lot running on these axle shafts. Have not broken one. I shimmed all bearings and gears in the rear end and am running Bel Ray marine waterproof grease. Most of my driving is fast short course or open trails. Rock crawling but not rock racing. I’m waiting to see if I bend the housing. This would only be due to the weight of the rig, tire size and motor. Mostly worried about a bad wreck or tumble at high speed.. As of now I’m super happy with it. I put the diff guard which helps a lot from hanging up or catching on anything too.

These are well worth the money. No more does my Yeti flip over due to high speed turns.
