SSD RC Assassin 1.9" Beadlock Crawler Wheels (Bronze) (2)
These are very nice wheels. I mounted the RC4WD 1.9" Wrangler tires to these wheels, along with the pro-line dual stage foam inserts, and installed everything on a TRX-4 that has a 3300kv motor, powered by a 3S LiHV. The truck can climb up almost everything. The machined finish for these wheels is extremely high quality. There are no burrs or scratches on the two different sets (come in pairs) I received, and I really like how all of the external facing beadlock bolts are varying in raw-metal coloration (some are bight gold, others reddish gold or greenish gold). The aluminum finish/bronze anodizing is top-notch, and feels hardened. The black beadlock plate matches in quality/finish of the rest of the wheel.

I wanted quality wheels that weren't cheap Amazon wheels, since they secure the tire, and allow the power to get down to the ground. Why skimp with the amount of power a 550, 3300kv motor has? You could use a more cost-effective wheel, and it'll probably work fine in most applications, but I wanted this part of my truck to be the best.

I didn't have any issues mounting the tire to the wheel, or the wheel to the stock hubs on the TRX-4. The beadlock process was very straight forward and simple. They add a bit of rotational weight to the truck, but not too much that will cause issues, I suspect, and will help lower the truck's CG. These wheels don't have vent holes, so if you need that, you'd have to vent the tires, or drill hols in the wheel.

The wheels do not come with the bit to tighten the bolts on the beadlock, so you will need to order them separately (SSD00053). The are really cheap though, and you get 3 bits, so it's not bad. If you don't want to buy the bits, you need a 2mm hex bit in order to tighten them. There are 8 (description says 6 but is wrong) allen key bolts to clamp the internal beadlock, which are located on the backside of the wheel, and then there are all of the smaller 2mm hex-head bolts on the outside of the wheel that need to be tightened. Honestly it's easy to deal with them, and you get extra 2mm bolts if you lose some on the trail.

When mounting the tire with foam insert already inside the tire, what I found helpful, was to remove the beadlock sleeve (have to take the 8 bolts and back side of the wheel off first) and install that into the center of the tire. Then before you slide the tire/sleeve assembly back onto the wheel, tighten the front side 2mm hex bolts in a star pattern. Then you can slide the tire w/sleeve onto the wheel, make sure the tire bead locks into the front beadlock properly, then install the backside of the wheel, ensure the bead is in and simply tighten the 8 bolts in a star pattern. When tightening the bolts, don't make them too tight or you'll strip the aluminum threads.

I apologize for the long review, but for $100 per set, there should be more info available.
