This is the Spektrum Ultra Micro FPV Camera & VTX. This amazing bit of technology is perfect for ultra micro aircraft. It combines an FPV camera, transmitter and antenna into a single unit no bigger than a thimble. It’s compatible with Fat Shark and other popular FPV headsets equipped with analog 5.8GHz receivers.

Installation is easy and can be done in seconds. No soldering or special skills are required. You simply attach it to your model and plug in a 1S battery (sold separately). A Y-harness connector is included if you want to eliminate the weight of a separate battery and power the camera with the same 1S flight battery that powers the aircraft.

Digital Head Tracking Available

Even though the VA1100 is a fixed-position camera, you can pan and tilt your field of view when you use it with a compatible FPV headset that features digital head tracking technology. Special sensors and software in these headsets allow you to look around the environment your model is flying through without the need for a gimbal camera mount. It’s just one more way Spektrum FPV technology lets you have more fun with fewer hassles.

Spektrum RC Ultra Micro FPV Camera & VTX
This little camera & VTX works surprisingly well. I'm using it mounted atop a Syma X5C-1 with a small dedicated 1s LiPo battery and viewing the video either through Skyzone Diversity FPV Goggles or a 5.8 GHz Diversity LCD Screen Receiver Monitor. (I would post pictures but there doesn't appear to be a way to do that here. See my five star review at Amazon.com if you wish to see how I have the camera mounted.) With decent ambient light the picture is clear and and of good color. With my setup I am getting 400+ feet range without signal loss. I do get a fair amount of multipath interference, but it's very transitory and may be related to all the metal fences and other structure where I normally fly. I have crashed a number of time with the camera, once onto concrete with enough force to seriously bend the clover leaf antenna on the camera. Using care, the antenna can be restored to its original configuration, and I have done so a number of time without apparent damage to the antenna. Even with these crashes, the camera continues to function normally. The lens can be focused by gently turning. All in all, it's an amazing bit of micro electronics and I can
recommend its use where weight is critical and long range not required.

Spektrum RC Ultra Micro FPV Camera & VTX
Just bought this little guy 2 days ago from my local HobbyTown and boy is it fun. I bought a different camera from an online store that
i was very dissatisfied with due to terrible range. But this little camera is much better on range and has better quality picture. I really
like this thing because its an all in one system all you need is a headset and you can slap this sucker on anything you can imagine.
Only FPV footage no dvr, but im not complaining its so fun to fpv with this camera thanks Hobbytown!

Spektrum RC Ultra Micro FPV Camera & VTX
I'd like to know how this camera is supposed to "tilt and pan" even though it's a fixed camera. I have the upgraded Fat Shark Attitude V2 which does do head tracking but I'm at a loss as to how this camera can tilt/pan when it's fixed... For this, I gave a 1 star rating.

However, for the fact that I can double side sticky tape this onto my RC cars is awesome. It works great for that. Range is not as good for obvious reasons, but good enough for driving at a track. Will I pay $100 again just for this? Probably not. I'd go with the $20-$30 variants from their competitors instead. I think I got duped with the pan/tilt feature...
