The Spektrum RC Firma 40 Amp Brushed Smart 2-in-1 ESC & Receiver was developed with Crawlers and Scale models in mind. The Firma 40 Amp Brushed ESC features a waterproof and dust proof design to keep you going down the trail in nearly any conditions. It has a powerful 3 amp BEC for your lights, winch and steering servo. And it’s fully programmable using an optional programmer box, so you can customize the ESC to suit your model’s needs and your own driving style.
The Firma 40 Amp Brushed ESC also helps reduce clutter and streamline your setup with an industry-leading, integrated 4-channel DSMR®/DSM2® receiver. This integrated receiver system is perfectly suited to allow drivers the options for winch setups, dual steering mixes and more. And setup is simple, with a convenient bind button and no complicated calibrations.
Plus, when used with a Spektrum Smart compatible transmitter, you can easily see valuable battery and ESC data easily in real time right on transmitter — including motor current, input voltage, remaining battery capacity and other information that will help endurance RC trailers increase efficiency and extend battery life and run time. When using Smart telemetry, alarms and parameters are setup automatically on your Spektrum transmitter.

Spektrum RC Firma 40 Amp Brushed Smart 2-in-1 ESC & Receiver
I have enjoyed this rig in a lot of rigs. It came standard in my RtR JK, and has slowly moved around to 3 or 4 other Rigs in its lifetime. It is fully waterproof, very smooth. Comparable to the HW 1080 but with a built in receiver so if you are in the spektrum universe and have a DX5c or Rugged it is a great choice for your brushed builds. If you are running big tires, and high load builds (see previous review) then yeah, a 40amp esc isn't what you should be looking at. ?

Great product for the price. Initially received with my Axial SCX10 III and has been moved to another crawler after upgrading Jeep with a bunch of brass and changed to brushless system. Works great when dialed in with the program box.

Don't bother with this one if your going to add some brass or 2.2 tires, burned out after a couple of runs.
