The Spektrum RCFC6250HX is a powerful flybarless helicopter stabilization system that features the latest AS3X and SAFE Stabilization technology to deliver an extremely user friendly and precise Helicopter flying experience. Ideal for 3D aerobatic, F3C Precision, and Scale helicopter models up to 700 size. Featuring a leading edge 6-axis M.E.M.S. inertial gyro, powerful and fast 32 bit ARM M4 Cortex processor and proprietary Advanced Adaptive Flight Control Algorithms, pilots will enjoy predictable and precise flight characteristics, excellent tail holding and rock-solid piro-compensation with the added security of assignable SAFE technology.
Included with the FC6250HX is the latest SRXL2 Serial Receiver, the 4651T. This receiver is engineered to give Heli and Multirotor pilot’s extraordinary performance with both control range and telemetry range. Featuring the latest SRXL2 serial communication protocol, pilots will have a control of 20 channels to their flight controller of choice, and when paired with the FC6250HX, allows for Smart ESC, Battery telemetry and forward programming to be transmitted to a compatible Spektrum Transmitter with no extra modules needed.
Smart ESC Ready
Heli Pilots will be able to easily monitor Voltage, Current, Rotor head RPM and more when combined with a Spektrum Smart ESC. No extra modules, wires or connections required. All this data will automatically be displayed on a compatible Spektrum Transmitter for easy viewing, logging and alarm warnings.
Forward Programming
Forward Programming allows pilots to easily setup, program, and tune the FC6250HX with no need for extra hardware, devices, or computers. Pilots can quickly make tuning changes on the flight line to the swashplate, tail rotor, SAFE stability, flight modes and more, right from their compatible Spektrum transmitter. And if the sensor needs calibrated after a crash or repair to your model, it can easily be done in the Forward Programming menu. All this is available with all current DX and iX transmitter models (update maybe required)
Advanced AS3X Stability and SAFE Technology
Built into the latest DSMR receivers is the newest failsafe mode for surface applications, Gas Mode Failsafe. Easyily selectable during binding, Gas Mode allows users to preset the failsafe position of all available channels. Additionally drivers can utilize SmartSafe failsafe which drops throttle to the lowest point and holds the last known command on the rest of the available channels.

!!!! Update on satellite receiver . I Purchased the FC6250HX to set up on Align 550 Helicopter. As the manual says anything larger than 360 To run additional satellite receiver which would be the SRXL2 satellite remote. Each satellite would be plugged into RX1and RX2 which would be on the receiver. The cables that are included with the receiver and if you order an additional satellite are the wrong cables to plug in these ports. Talk to Horizon and they don’t know any time in which they will have these control wires available. So you can’t at this point run 2 satellites for the bigger Helicopters. The problem is the satellites require JST-SH 4 pin connector and the receiver on RX1and RX2 are JST-SH 3 pin connectors. For safety concerns and to follow the manual I’m going to wait on the availability of these cables for safety reasons to use this new FC6250HX. It’s a bummer they come out with this new product and don’t have the required wires to make it work as per manual. And now with this health scare going on who knows when they’ll get them in. XXXXX Looks like they’ve updated the satellite receiver which would be SPM9745. They still did not update the manual. But that receiver checking with customer service has a three wire output which would be compatible to the three wire input on the receiver. A main hobbies shows it and Horizon doesn’t. Ordered the new Satellite it’s on its way still haven’t flown with that new Receiver yet.

These are AWESOME! I have 3 of them and they are very easy to setup with the manual and especially with the online Spektrum videos at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwVeKYJWFAk. They perform extremely well and the fail safe and bailout really help with learning new maneuvers. They are completely programmed through the Spectrum transmitter. I also have 2 ZYX FBL controllers and one MicoBeast Plus FBL controller. These require a Window computer and MANY, sometimes confusing, steps to program. I highly recommend the Spektrum FC6250HX.
I have to disagree with Mike on the 550. I have a FC6250HX installed on an Align 500 so I also purchased the additional SPM9745 DSMX remote receiver. Per the manual, the receiver that comes with the FC6250HX plugs into the BND/PRG/RX2 port. The SPM9745 plugs into the RX1 port on the side of the FC6250HX using the cable that comes with it. Thus, I have two remote receivers with the FC6250HX controller and it works perfectly!

Easy to setup, very tunable, works great. I have used Beastx on most of my helicopters, it is easier to setup than Beastx.

Spektrum RC FC6250HX Helicopter Flybarless Control System
Setup and Forward Programming is super easy with NX10,8,6 Spektrum Tx Radio. Used in an Align 500x, Hobbywing 80amp ESC, SRXL2 satellite Rx. It's nice to be able to program right from he NX radio instead of hooking up a program card, interface cable or dragging out laptop. I'm able to make setting changes on the fly after landing. Tail hold is awesome. Tested auto level and it works well if you're into that. Can make it fly like a drone or a very loosened up in auto level. I'm using the old firmware 5.03.0 on this FBL. I have seen some issue with others using the newer firmware, but maybe its the user.
Spektrum should have better documentation on this FBL, more than what's included in the "pamphlet" comes with this FBL. You need to be a genius to make this FBL work right. After I got mine figured out and flying, I found this video that would have helped. YouTube video title, "Full Set Up Guide to Spektrum 6250HX Flybarless System with Coe Show and a Blade Fusion 550" He knows what he's talking about and its in align with what I now know too.

My settings on the Align 500x differed vastly from the Video's, for grins I did plug in his settings and my bird flew close to the same but not as quite dialed in. Video is good starting point for newbies.
Would I buy again? Absolutely.
Edit: June 18 2023. Purchased 2nd one. Work great in SAB Goblin 420 Raw. Works fine with 420 RAW

I have an NX10 and with this FBL system this is a slick combination. I've tried lots of FBL systems and this is the only way to go if you have a radio that works with it.

So I set this up for a friend learning to fly rc helis thinking it would help him learn with the SAFE mode. He has a Synergy 516 so we needed an extra remote receiver. He had a SPM9645 on the heli and we were told any DSMX sat would work. They dont, you will need a SPM9745 in order to get it to bind. Set up is easy but the the manual is not so clear as all Spektrum manuals aren't. First test flight was perfect, rock solid in fact it was so stable I didn't think he needed stability mode at all. We went home and set up the safe and bail out mode as per HHs video. 2nd flight I tried the bail out and it worked perfectly. Then flipped it into SAFE mode and it had a bit of a drift to the left which we were able to adjust out with the attitude trim in the controller. Overall I feel its a very good FBL system but takes some tweaking to get it just right. They are updating the firmware often so I think it will just get better.

At this time I already configure the the flybarless. This experience has been great so far. Not using a cable and a computer to configure the unit has been great. The only problem I get was, not getting out of the forward programming menu and turning off the unit. This cause not saving the configuration on the flybarless. The configuration get lost. So I configure the unit again and exit the forward programming menu and the the configuration get safe. Now I am waiting for my blades in order to test the Heli. On the bench is OK so far. Soon is going to the air.

This item arrived on time, unfortunately, it does not work. After contacting Spektrum (Horizon Hobby) for support I was told it was defective and would have to be sent in for repair. This will delay my being able to use the system for at least three weeks. I don't think this is acceptable or fair for a new product.
