The Spektrum DX8G2 takes 8-channel sophistication to new heights with features and capabilities that eclipse those of almost everything else in its class. Voice alerts, 250-model memory, wireless trainer, 4 model types – you get it all and more.

Diversity Antenna
Using a combination of vertical and horizontal arrays, the diversity antenna provides superb protection against polarization blind spots, ensuring your receiver always “sees” the signal.

Fly Smarter with Built-In Telemetry
The built-in telemetry feature gives you real-time information on things like your model's battery voltage, signal quality, engine or motor temperature, airspeed, altitude and more.*

Using the voice alert system, you can program the DX8 to tell you when specific telemetry values reach or exceed limits you define. You can also have it call out a sequence of telemetry values on demand with the flip of a switch. If you want to review telemetry after a flight, the DX8 can be set up to record the data to its SD card.

*Requires a Spektrum telemetry module and telemetry sensors, sold separately.

Spektrum RC DX8 G2 2.4GHz DSMX 8 Channel Radio System (No Servos)
It has been several years (20+) since I purchased any new r/c electronic equipment, and making the decision on which brand to purchase was difficult since JR is no longer available. I still own two JR x388s PCM transmitters/receivers that work excellent. Wanting to get back into the hobby, I decided to go with the Spektrum DX8G2. I was very apprehensive at first, but as I get deeper into the ability's and programming of the DX8G2, the more I like it.

It was very intimidating at the start, but now it's almost as if the possibilities are endless, it's much easier and more straight forward than the 20+ yr old 388's I was used to setting up back in the day. BTW, the x388s seems like a relic in comparison to the DX8 as far as program-ability. I really like the menu screen of the DX8G2. I am completely amazed at the features and capabilities of the DX8G2 and the AR8010T receiver. The programming possibilities and features are endless. The fact that you can import and/or export the many different pre-programmed aircraft settings available for first setup, then tweak them to your liking is awesome.

As for fit, finish and feel of the DX8G2 when flying is ok, but the JR x388s hands down is much more comfortable, stick feel is much smoother than the DX8G2. The feel between the two is like night and day, and that's something that can't be changed with any amount of "programming." Spring tension is adjustable on the DX8 and that is something I look in too. For over all use and sport flying, which is what I will stick with, the DX8G2 will work great. I feel I made a great choice with the Spektrum DX8G2, it's a little pricey but you get a lot of features with that price. Thanks Amain Hobbies for the fast service and quick shipping.

Spektrum RC DX8 G2 2.4GHz DSMX 8 Channel Radio System (No Servos)
AMain Hobbies is far the best online RC store in the US. The New Spektrum radio system is a replacement for my JR helicopter Radio. Programming possibilities are without a doubt the best one in town. I’ve been a die hard Futaba user for 20 years. Times change and so did RC. All for the best.
