Spektrum RC AeroScout S 1.1m Airplane 8g Servo
Yeah so, as the last review stated— you WILL end up going through 6 of these in the Aeroscout 2. The Rudder and the Front Landing Wheel are attached to one single Sub-Micro 8 Gram Servo. I’m not saying it’s a bad servo, it’s just VERY WEAK. Very weak/fine plastic gears inside the Servo with little lubricant.

The Aeroscout simply has too robust of a landing gear for the Servo to take that type of tug and pull on landings/ driving on rough terrain. I would suggest a 9g Servo as the inside gears are stronger and slighter bigger— and still fits in the 8 gram slot with no modifications, and is a 3 wire.

The Sub-Micro 8gram Servo is great for the Wing flaps, and Tail flaps— as they don’t require much power delivery output or durability demand.

The great thing about this Servo is it is PERFECT for those Fine touch controls, and micro movements.

Spektrum RC AeroScout S 1.1m Airplane 8g Servo
These are so good I’m in my 6th one! I’m a newbie but I haven’t landed hard enough to go through 6 of these? I had crashed my Aeroscout and bent the front landing gear but fixed it as good as possible. After going through 4 servos I thought it might be damage to the landing gear so I picked up another new Aeroscout at a good price, thinking I could use one for parts. Having same results with new plane also! I’d like to put in another servo for nose gear and one for rudder but I’ll switch to metal gear servo this time round.
