SH Engines .12 Pro Rear Exhaust Touring Car & Truck Nitro Engine (Turbo Plug)

Nice engine for the cash. Plenty of power for a 1/10 stadium truck. Running in a ignite design rc10t6.4 using a novarossi on road header/pipe for now.

Perfect engine for your 1/10th gas truck. Easy to start and tune once broken in. Use a heat gun on low to get it up to temp before starting while breaking it in to avoid excessive wear on the connecting rod bushings (like any engine).
Bearings are small and wear out/rust very quickly, even with after-run oil.
Bearing size is not published that I could find.
Front bearing: 7.00 x 19.00 x 6.00
Rear bearing: 10.00 x 19.00 x 5.00

Bought this engine a bit over a year ago, as I was getting into 2wd "Gas Trucks". It was used first last summer in an Ignite AE conversion when I pulled the 12TG v4 out to be serviced.
This engine started easily after being heated up, only died a couple times on the first tank, and after a few tanks on the box and a few easy tanks on the ground it got some track time. It tunes pretty easy and seems to hold a tune fine. This all happened on the original Ignite pipe, the black 2 piece one.
A couple days ago I got this truck out and went through it, finished some suspension tuning, and swapped the pipe to an Ignite 1202 and took it out to burn a tank and see if it was ready for a practice day at the track... tune was still really close, even with weather being significantly different to the last time this engine ran...the 1202 pipe sure woke this thing up!
Can't wait to get this truck out for some more laps, and see what kind of mileage it gets once leaned out for a race tune... wouldn't hesitate to buy another... 4 stars for now only because I cannot yet speak to long term reliability... only minor negative is that the carb is smaller and doesn't fit the same air cleaner boots as the rest of my 2wd truck engines... running on 30% VP Lutz blend

Solid .12 for the money. My first complaint is that it didn't come with a manual. Fortunately this ain't my first rodeo with nitro, so not a big deal. Great top end with my tuned turbo pipe. Bang for the buck for sure. Adjustment screw for the low end seemed kinda loose. We will see how well it holds a tune after a few tanks.

Awesome little engine, tons of power, robust idle, and an easy-to-tune carb.

I purchase this to restore my Mugen MTX4. It started easy but the default needle settings were off. After adjustment and break in, it runs pretty smoothly. Perfect affordable engine for restoration project.

Great motor. Idles well, strong pull and great top end. This motor just screams on the top end. Fuel mileage is also good. Durability has been great.
