This is the Serpent SL6 XLI 2-Speed Set, for use with the Serpent 748. Michael Salven designed a super light gearbox to achieve lower inertia for extreme racing conditions - the Xli, or Xtra Low Inertia.
The adapter, shoes and bell on the Xli are all reduced in size and feature a lower mass which gives better acceleration overall. The well proven 2-speed gears remain the same as before. Current 748 Natrix and 747 racers can easily upgrade to this new Xli SL6 gearbox for the competitive edge.
