This is the Serpent 966-e 1/8 Electric On Road Kit. 1/8 scale electric on road is a fascinating segment of 1/8 scale onroad racing, and is allowing Serpent to flex its innovative muscle, creating a purpose built car-kit for this exciting class. The Serpent 966-e is Serpents answer to the growing interest in the high end electric powered market and will help to grow the interest in 1/8 electric on road racing on a global scale.
The Serpent 966-e shares it's DNA with it's fuel powered brother, the Serpent 966 (along with a majority of it's parts list), which many claim is the best 1/8 scale onroad racing car on the market. Innovation and quality have been combined into a pure performance driven racing package, making this car a heavy hitter on the track. Features include independent suspension, fully adjustable set-up, 3 belt-drive system, and a radio tray developed specifically for the application with a dual 2S saddle pack LiPo battery configuration.
The proven Serpent 966 suspension-set up can easily handle the brutal delivery of electric power and offers a huge sweet spot in terms of set-up and handling. The Serpent design team created a very well balanced racing car. Still 4wd, but in a single speed direct drive configuration, the 966-e is a lot of power to control, but is guaranteed to provide a unique thrill on the track.
