This is the Scorpion HKII-2213-14 Brushless Motor. Scorpion HKII Series Brushless Motors are designed to provide both quality and performance at an affordable price, and are built from the finest materials available. All Scorpion motors are manufactured with high quality Aluminum and Steel alloys to exacting tolerances on state of the art CNC machines for the highest level of fit and finish. The stators are made with 0.2mm laminations to give maximum efficiency, and minimum Eddy current losses. The stators are hand-wound to provide the highest copper fill rate with wire that is rated at 180 degrees C (356 F), and high voltage tested to guarantee that no shorts are present. The high temperature magnets used in Scorpion Motors are designed to give top performance in the most demanding applications. All the metal motor parts are electro-coated in a beautiful black and gold finish so the motors look as good as they perform.

The main shaft of these motors is 4mm in diameter which increases the strength of the shaft, and allows the use of larger motor bearings. The end of the motor shaft is precision ground down to 3.17mm (1/8 inch) to fit standard size pinion gears that are used on this size motor. The Scorpion HKII-2213 motors have 3.5mm male bullet connectors already soldered on to the motor leads, and also include 3 matching female bullet connectors for your speed controller, 3 pieces of heat shrink tubing and 2 mounting screws.

Scorpion Motors are built to last, and are backed with a 2-Year manufacturers warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. However, due to the high RPM of these motors, and the fact that Scorpion cannot control the installation and setup, the bearings are not covered by the 2-Year warranty, nor is any subsequent damage caused to the motor by a bearing failure. Bearings are a normal wear item, and as such, need to be maintained and changed periodically. For maximum life, make sure that the gear mesh is set correctly during motor installation to avoid binding, and put a small drop of oil on each bearing every 5-6 flights. It is the responsibility of the pilot to ensure that the bearings are maintained properly.
