The Schumacher Cougar LD2 1/10 Stock Spec Kit is a very versatile platform with incredible performance on a wide range of surfaces. Featuring a lower center of gravity for improved handling and corner speed this buggy has been designed to be easy to drive and provide an amazing racing experience.

Schumacher Cougar LD2 1/10 2WD Buggy Kit
My LD2 with HW electronics and help from Tony at Klinik has been a race winning combination on dirt. Kaito setup with Tony’s twist out out front if the TLR and Associated guys. TQ and back to back wins. This LD2 is dialed. The off throttle corner speed is amazing. Stability in the air is precise and the car is astounding easy to drive for a 2wd on loose dirt. Setup is key.

Schumacher Cougar LD2 1/10 2WD Buggy Kit
It’s the original cougar laydown only a little different. Most of your old alloy parts will fit on the LD2. Including the x-brace. It does hold better corner speed and they addressed a lot of the issues the car had such as getting rid of that brittle bottom plate. If you have the original my advice would be to save 379.99 plus tax and you know we need overnight shipping on our toys. It’s more solid but did not make me any faster.
Update: the bottom of the rear shocks are held on by a ball cup. These will not hold up for very long.
You can buy the setup off of the original laydown. It’s just a long grub screw with a captured end. 2 years on the original setup and I never popped a shock off. Still a 5 star buggy but I don’t know what Schumacher was thinking.
