This is an optional pack of RPM Blue X-Maxx Shock Shaft Guards, intended for use with the Traxxas X-Maxx 8S 4WD Monster Truck. Protect your shock shafts and seals from running damage and the deteriorating elements with this simple design. This part replaces the stock shock spring cups with ones that have mounting holes for a thin but tough shield that rises up to the base of the shock body. The guard completely blocks debris from striking the shock shaft. The back and sides are open, which prevents debris from building inside the guard as well.

The front shield of the guard covers over a impressive 100° of frontal exposure. That means rocks and debris thrown from the front tires or competitors won’t ever hit your shock shafts. RPM Shock Shaft Guards are zero friction protection devices, meaning these guards never touch the working elements of the shocks. As an added bonus, RPM increased the length of the tubular spring support of the spring cup by nearly 2mm (5/64”). The added length helps prevent the spring from jumping off of the spring perch when the conditions are less than ideal.

Features:
  • Over 100° of frontal protection
  • Zero friction protection devices
  • Increased spring cup spring support
  • Fits stock Traxxas X-Maxx GTX shocks
  • Sold in pairs

RPM X-Maxx Shock Shaft Guards (Blue)
Love the look with blue shocks or shock covers also blue x maxx lol I beat the life out of my x maxx and they hold up too everything other 1/5 slinging rocks at it massive jumps they really are durable and protects the small screws that hold the pins in place over time they get chewed up along with the lower a arm. Took about 5 minutes to install didn't even need to take the shocks out just muscle the shock drop the shock collar put on the new one with the shock shield works amazingly no breaks so far its been about 6 months
