This is an optional Robinson Racing Hardened Clutch Bell, and is intended for use with the Traxxas T-Maxx 2.5 monster truck. This part is precision machined from solid steel, then extra hardened for durability and dependability under the most extreme high power conditions.

If you are running the stock plastic spur gear this is unnecessary but it is a MUST HAVE item if you are running a steel spur gear. I also have a 3 shoe clutch so I dont know if that compounded the problem but I destroyed two stock clutch bells after less than a gallon of fuel after installing a steel spur gear. I installed this clutch bell and it has held up great after two gallons of fuel. Ill probably buy a 22 tooth model also so that i have a couple of gear ratio options but i dont see any signs of wear at all so im only buying one of each.
