Revolution Roguewave 10 F1 Self-Righting RTR Boat
Fun little boats!

The boat is faster than I expected.

The feature to self return to upright position seems to work pretty good.

I have run them through 2 battery charges. I did not use a stop watch, but I am guessing they ran about 10 minutes for each. I was surprised they ran as long as they did.

I have not tested for max range, but I operated them from at least about 75 feet away.

The boat does not have reverse. It wasn't a problem, but I was a little surprised it did not have reverse. The remote has the reverse movement, but the boat does not respond to reverse.

There is a switch on top of the remote to change how much the rudder control will move. In one position it will turn in a 3 foot radius circle, in the other position is is less than a foot. I kept it mainly in the less sensitive position. The fact that the turn can be much tighter, pretty much eliminates the need for a reverse.

The boat will bounce quite a bit if any ripples in the water. I was running it in a pond at a public park. The water was calm other than the wake from this boat. If I turned it back into it's previous area on the pond, it would "bounce" across the ripples it previously made. It wasn't a problem, but you could tell the boat was really light weight and affected by the ripples. The boat was stable, though. It only flipped over once while playing with it through 2 batteries (full throttle and tight turns most of the time).

A few times I ran over some moss or grassy material growing in the pond. The performance of the boat was noticeably affected. There was just a small amount of green stuff in the rudder/prop, but it made quite a change in the boats performance.

The ESC will cut the power to the boat when the battery gets low in power. The boat's speed will drop noticeably. It will still allow you to drive the boat back to shore. I am not sure how long it will operate in low power mode. I did not want to push the limits.

When the ESC kills the power as the battery is drained, it will not get enough speed to get on plane. When the boat is going slow, the nose will submerge and the boat becomes a submarine. I would apply and release the throttle to keep it on the surface and to keep fwd movement to get it back to shore. I might try to apply some weight to the rear of the boat to maybe help the ballast to keep the bow of the boat pointing up.

Overall, I like the boat.
