More voltage deeper into the race

Shorty Zappers are here! Originally referring to Reedy's proprietary NiMH voltage enhancement technology, Zappers perfectly describe Reedy's high-voltage LiPo battery chemistry. A 7.6 nominal voltage means that with a suitable charger, the battery can be safely charged to 8.7V (4.35V/cell). It is no secret that more voltage equals more power, and there is no easier way to achieve a performance advantage than a higher charge voltage!

Even when the typical 8.4V (4.2V/cell) charging limit is enforced, the battery still offers a significant advantage thanks to a flatter discharge curve -- which results in more voltage deeper into the race.

For those who race where approved batteries are required, 7.4V are available and feature the same discharge curve characteristics as the 7.6V versions.

A high quality, durable hard Reedy case helps prevent damage while heavy-duty 5mm socket connectors keeps power-robbing resistance to a minimum. A charge lead and 5mm ESC connectors are included.

LiPo battery technology continues to progress and Reedy is proud to bring improved performance to the masses.

Reedy Zappers HV 2S Hard Case LiPo 100C Shorty Battery (7.6V/4800mAh)
So far so good, this battery is great for 17.5 club racing. I get 2.0 IR per cell on my icharger, and the punch is great. The 7.6V option doesn't affect my charge voltage 8.40, but because the cells have a higher capability, they are less likely to fade and drop off during a run. Think of it this way, they are working at 80% of capacity and still it's a higher average voltage than a comparable 7.4v pack. Maybe not ROAR legal but can go to ROAR legal voltage which is good enough for my club racing.

Also I was really impressed with the quality 5mm bullets that came withe the pack. I soldered them to my ESC and then used some bullet adapters on my charge harness.

Reedy Zappers HV 2S Hard Case LiPo 100C Shorty Battery (7.6V/4800mAh)
I ran these for the first time in stock buggy last night and they worked great. 3 heats and a main plus a few practice runs all charging at 20amps 8.4v no discharging. resistance was great without even doing a high amp cycle. I was seeing an average of 1.7 per cell. Packs show no sign of puffing. Im happy with the performance and quality so far.

Reedy Zappers HV 2S Hard Case LiPo 100C Shorty Battery (7.6V/4800mAh)
bought two of these and both "puffed" after only two cycles. They "puffed" really bad, not sure if they were just a bad batch or what. I always balance charge with a high dollar charger. Never going to buy this brand again.
