The Reedy S-Plus Competition Spec Brushless Motor was developed over several months of behind-the-scenes track testing. The heart of the S-Plus is a thin leg stator that allows shorter wire lengths, resulting in a massive reduction in resistance. This reduction in resistance, hovering just above the minimum allowed by R.O.A.R., means that the S-Plus is Reedy's most powerful spec motor ever!

The thin-leg stator offers another benefit -- weight reduction. By reducing the motor's weight, handling and chassis turning flexibility improves. Machined parts such as the can, timing cap, back plate, and sensor assembly have been placed on a diet. An entire section of the front plate has been removed to reduce weight with an added benefit of allowing the user to re-position it to lower CG depending on which type of car it is being installed in. A savings of nearly 30g has been achieved! Additionally, the motor's length has been reduced by more than 2mm, which aids left/right balance and moves mass towards the center of the chassis.

A redesigned high-strength, balanced rotor is more powerful that its predecessor. Because the rotor is interchangeable with those in 540-M3 spec motors, a wide range of tuning options are already available. Precision stainless steel ball bearings have been fitted to accommodate high RPM loads with exceptional efficiency and reliability.

Reedy S-Plus Competition Spec Brushless Motor (17.5T)
Just bought one of these and haven't run it yet. Put the motor on an analyzer before installing.

Here are the results---

The motor came set at 20º. Timing is based on the can.
20º-----2 Amps-----21,179 RPM-----2,749 KV
30º-----2.6 Amps---22,439 RPM-----2,876 KV
40º-----3.6 Amps---23,190 RPM-----3,011 KV
42º-----4.2 Amps---23,488 RPM-----3,050 KV
44º-----5.0 Amps---24,204 RPM-----3,184 KV
46º-----5.9 Amps---25,184 RPM-----3,357 KV
50º-----8.5 Amps---26,060 RPM-----3,569 KV

Your results might vary, but at least you'll get an idea.

Reedy S-Plus Competition Spec Brushless Motor (17.5T)
Best gearing is between 6.4:1 and 6.5:1 FDR at 32 degrees of timing I find it the most reliable for the power.

Reedy S-Plus Competition Spec Brushless Motor (17.5T)
Motor is fast and light. Using in my B6.1d on indoor clay. I am running it geared for 38deg timing but turned the timing down to 26deg because I don't need the extra speed and so it runs cool. Had to add weights to my car because of the weight difference from the old motor I set it up with which lowered the CG. Have run a few full practice days and a few races without issue.

Reedy S-Plus Competition Spec Brushless Motor (17.5T)
This motor is crazy fast! I have a fantom v3 works edition, which is crazy fast too, but this motor is just as powerful and for over 50 bucks less. Running in my b6.1 with the timing bumped to about 40*, I tuned it to 6amps. Well worth the money

Reedy S-Plus Competition Spec Brushless Motor (17.5T)
I've used this motor for 1 day of practice. Timing set at recommended 38. It's fast. You are going to need to drop down the pinion because this motor likes the revs.
