Redcat TC8 Marksman 1/8 4WD RTR Scale Rock Crawler w/2.4GHz Radio (Green)

Incredibly capable crawler and certainly the most capable one I own. My trx6 & axial 6x6 are getting a lot of shelf time since the TC8 showed up. Great work by the redcat team! The TC8 has so much presence on the trail and can tackle lines my 6x6's cannot even touch. Not only will I be buying a few more of these for my kids, I will also be putting a hobbywing 1080 & Crawlmaster motor in every crawler I own. This esc & motor combination is incredibly smooth and everyone who drives it is blown away by the throttle control.

One of my favorite RC youtube channels gave the TC8 some grief for its turning radius, but I don't notice on the trail at all. All I notice is how many new line's my current trails have given all the truck can tackle. Reliability has been great so far and that includes punishment from my 4 year old.

Tires have outstanding grip and the front mounted motor makes descending/climbing a real treat. Suspension tuning and esc programing are both perfect out of the box. Redcat really nailed it on the TC8 Marksman!

Love this rig, on sale it's a steal. Lot of gen 8 stuff fits, but accessories hard to find. Great electronics, poor steering radius. Goes where I need it to. Very reliable!

I wanted to update this review I've got two Marksman trucks. all I can say is good luck if you have a defective truck they sent me a transmission which was super noisy refuse to replace it no matter how many videos I sent them and I had to buy a brand new one from a wendigo off eBay since then the truck's been perfect but I told the guy masquerading as a customer service rep at Redcat if he wouldn't support the truck I bought I wouldn't recommend Redcat and so I officially do not recommend you do business with them. remember I'm talking about a brand new truck with zero feet on it clicking while the wheels were turning in the air. he also forced me to take apart the transmission and verify there was no teeth missing and then refused to warranty it. I'll never buy another redcat and you shouldn't either. I'll enjoy the two Marksmen and Wendigo I have but that's it. They make good vehicles but so does everybody else mostly.

This is an amazing and capable RC. I'll say it's an RC for rugged trail crawling. Not a pure rock crwler, but not limited to trailing either. It's size is a great relief from driving my 1/10 scale RCs including SCX10s,TRX4s, Element,Team Associated, and Gen8 V2, etc. One popular YouTube reviewer pointed out the wide steering radius, stickers on the body, and the cowboy driver needing to be painted. Don't be influenced as this truck is tough as nails and purist in presentation with a simplistic body with full fender covers unserside. It is a beast and a blast to listen to the driveline whine as it conquers problems. I was not a big fan of the huge scale accessory lamps on front bumper and removed those. The steering radius is commensurate with it's size and wheelbase, but can be improved with swapping out panhead screws for the button heads which Redcat has already done in the later production models around the 1,300 number. I have two and noticed my 1,2?? was different than my #1,320. Anyway, fully recommend.
